My partner has this model and it's great to drive, much better than my C250 coupe, and the diesel sounds great when you toe it, very torquey engine. It's a good smooth even ride & far far better than the Z4 & TT in my opinion . Still don't know how u lost the back end at 10mph ?? I've driven hers in frost & slippery wet C-roads and it grips the road just fine ....
My alarm /horn sounds off as soon as connect my battery up, 7 minutes is a long time for to blow .should i just disconnect the horn and try this method?
Poor review, focused on driver dynamics were people buying this car care about practically, safety and comfort. It has Toyota reliability and build quality and the strong resale prices tell you everything. The most important thing about this car is its relativley compact size vs a Galaxy or SMax yet doesnt feel cramped on inside.
Im experiencing this right now! I guess in the 7 mins in the on position, it finally reads and accepts the key, go off then on and boom it started. I actually found this out by accident and i was guessing at the timing... i gave it like 15-20 mins instead. Its been acting fine since, and im using the valet spare key. Watching this video from Chicago, 2000 gs300 lover... Also i find especially with the higher mileage cars you have to slow down your key insert and rotation
I bought this today it's a 3.0 TDCi and drove it home which was a 6 hour drive. Firstly I come from driving a 2016 BMW 116i f21 which is a three door sport so understand that getting a bakkie was a real mind flip for me. I liked it when I saw it with all its scratches n dents, I got to know it driving home and discovered it's a he rather than a she😂😂, very aggressive, very powerful, quick on take off, he's not as thirsty as I thought he would be. The steering is very vague and the cabin noise is extremely loud. With all that 6 hours later when I parked him in my carport I had fallen in love with his ruggedness and discovered I already named him too. His name is Tom Ford and by Gucci I'm in absolute love with him❤❤❤
I think it's just something you get used to. As you are inputting both steering and accelerator, your brain will get used to and anticipate the effect you describe so you can counter it easily to the degree you can.
As you haven't stated why, I would have to assume you own this vehicle and can't bear to hear anything other than positives about something you like...am I right? Lose the ego, it makes you post pointless entitled comments.
If you find the seating position too high, there's a button on the side of the seat... you press the lower half of it and the seat gets lower.... That might also help with the steering wheel obstructing the instruments....

"the engine does not have any power" Mine is SportEdition, with shorter gearbox and sport diff, DPF and EGR deleted, chip tuned - I think it pulls like a mf. 😀
