Just skimmed through the video, Flamethrower pistol is a nice touch that you used Spear could have been a better support weapon because of the targeting but it needs backpack (i mean you can use it without, but downtime will be long between ammo reloads) I wish we got dual wield laser pistols lol Im excited how the jumppack is gonna be reworked, although maybe it will just be a simple buff (like cd reduction)
hol up a minute, you might be cooking with the no-backpack Spear strat xD it'd definitely be more lore accurate but very difficult to pull off efficiently dual wield laser pistols would make for a great Cad Bane build and yeah, definitely going to be making more vids experimenting with the Jump Pack after patch!
According to the blurry notes on their last video, they'll add aiming while airborne, a 10-second cooldown reduction in the next patch, and other buffs to the Jump-Pack.
something tells me you did not watch the video nor read the description whatsoever... but this build is not meant for solo play, it's to play the role of tank for your teammates :)
Heard the idea mentioned on Reddit before I started looking for the implementations on YT, and now I'm looking even more forward to try it, except I intend to use it like this: ARMOR: Fortified commando (heavy, extra padding (=200)), PRIMARY: Blitzer, SECONDARY: Gren. pist., GRENADE: thermite; STRATS: DogBreathRover, EMS mortar (crowd control), EAT/Commando/Quasar (for heavies, structures, emergency nest close), with 4th being quite flex, perhaps something extra for heavies (OrbRail) or to handle breaches (Tesla) or just Laser Cannon or ArcThrower if I intend to cycle between it and EAT/Comm, or just an extra sentry.
I like your style! the choice of heavy armor is particularly interesting and introduces an entirely different style of play with this combo - good stuff, I'll have to give it a try!
wow, it really looks like I fired a stun grenade... unfortunately that was my teammates EMS mortar that just happened to hit the same spot xD although stun grenades for the grenade pistol would be awesome!!
If a hellbomb gets armed it should explode. END OF DISCUSSION. I can't believe we're still dealing with this. Damaged hellbombs are more reliable than pristine ones for crying out loud.
With the new update I really love playing the crossbow and the shield but maybe I can try this loadout, seems good. Do the laser powerful enough? It seems a bit weak idk
the Laser Cannon is really good against Devastators, Gunships, Hulks, and anything less armored than them while being incredibly ammo efficient. I wouldn't use the Laser Cannon against Cannon Turrets though, that's where it really struggles but otherwise the Laser Cannon is a great option that I'd recommend!
valid observation! Eagle Airstrike would work well as a substitute - I've just been running the Strafing Run a lot lately because of how satisfying destroying Fabricators with it is :)
The laser cannon feels so good this update, i made a build with it that specializes in dealing with the medium enemies. 500kg, orbital napalm barrage, las-98, and the normal guard dog with the scythe, grenade pistol, and gas grenades. Nice vid though man👍might use this for blitz
@@Smurfington-u7k that's actually funny too. Cause, you would think the bomb would actually go boom when hit by a heated looking laser bullet from bots, or even the use of rockets to set it off too. But, from what I remember, somehow, after you manually set the bomb for bugs, a charger can go up to it, stomp on it, and set it off early, yet, can't be done for bots.
yeah taking out Cannon Turrets with the AMR and Laser Cannon doesn't feel great right now, I'd stick with using Thermites or stronger Anti-Tank options instead!
I've actually run something very similar with the shield backpack & grenade pistol in one of my early videos! Although with how gas has been changed, it might be a fun build to revisit at some point :)
I will eventually when AH improves performance! right now my PC can't quite handle anything above 7 well :( super salute to you for picking up the slack!
im playing as a combat medic and is fun how the build is almost the same but the differant thing is that you pick smoke aigle i pick 110 aigle for tank and turret and the liberator penetrator is gun but i need explosif so i pick the eruptor and i pick the gaz grenade not the smoke but that a great but that you have there you are like really helping your team to use there max potencial (sorry im japenese so my english is not the best)
wow, thank you for the comment!! love the international representation here :) and yes, I definitely sacrificed firepower for full support - but if I were to play more aggressively I'd probably make some of the same picks you mentioned as well!
the Illuminate would have you believe that it was merely my teammate's Scorcher, but it's best to stay vigilant against our enemies - past and future at all times :)
Sickle, Crisper (wrist flamethrower), stuns (just seems effective for bounty hunting), jetpack, EAT, commando (both would be like his jetpack missile), and 500 KG (like the Slave-1 dropping a seismic charge or something). I think some things could be better for Boba, but my mind is running blank. Any better ideas?
Im assuming gunships are a bit of a pain in the ass though. Idk shield relay i still think needs something done to it. Pops easy and barely any flicker to notify when it is about to. I would switch out either ems or shield relay for an HMG emplacement. It can take on alot and gives you some anti air. Only things then that might be an issue are tanks and factory striders you can use your thermites on.
yes, gunships are a problem for this build to encounter - but having the Shield Relay + Gen Pack means that you can safely play as the bait for gunships while teammates take them out for you. Definitely agree that HMG Emplacement is a good option if you want to trade defense for more firepower :)
I got kicked for doing the same thing you're doing, the bad players can't handle doing the main obj by themselves while i collect all the samples like wtf
I’ve been kicked for the most absurd reasons in my 400 hours with the game Everything from using voice chat even after reminding them there’s a mute function To going deathless, and I guess making the host feel insecure about himself
Here's my Airburst rocket loadout for the "purge hatcheries" mission on level-10 difficulty. Airburst loadout: Light or medium medic armor, scorcher, grenade pistol, airburst, supply pack (I know it's weird, let me cook), Emancipator mech, and 500 KG. I only use this loadout for "purge hatcheries" missions because the Airburst can take out a shit ton of eggs from afar, and that's all I use it for. Once I am done using it for this task, I drop down a supply pack and stop using the airburst for the rest of the mission. The scorcher is really good at taking out a lot of bug eggs as well if you need to get close, and it takes out chargers fast. Now I bring the medic armor because of the longer stim effect. This allows me to stim myself if I am surrounded by a bunch of enemies like hunters or stalkers. Then, I can shoot these enemies at close range with the scorcher if I have to and not take too much damage while doing so. Anyways great video man and great loadout with the Airburst. How did you use it well against the bots?
hey, thanks for the comment! I agree, the Airburst Rocket Launcher is absolutely amazing on "purge hatcheries" missions! Interesting to see the Supply Pack strat, will have to check it and the rest of your build out at some point - as for bots, I'm still experimenting with the Airburst Launcher so stay tuned!
always crazy to me seeing people take the supply backpack, NOT supply the homies when next to em and theyre alll clearly blinking red that they need ammo, yet you'll re supply yourself with it ONCE and then take the actual ammo on the floor/ the call down supplies. Whats even the point in bringing the back pack and fucked up taking the general supplies when ya dont need em lmao
hi! yes, in hindsight bringing the Supply Pack was a bit overkill but keep in mind this was literally my first drop with the Sterilizer so I had no clue how ammo efficient it was - I've since uploaded a new video using the Sterilizer without the Supply Pack and it seems to work much better. As for team play, I got carried away with showcasing the Sterilizer - but I assure you I love embracing the support role with the Supply Pack in my other videos! :)
