So perfect. It's a delicate song, full of emotion and restraint, the ironies of love, timing, and relationships, of missed moments, regrets and a wisp of hope. She moved me greatly. Now that is how to sing "Send in the Clowns". Right from the first line you get goosebumps and start welling up. Hannah has that ineffable quality that even many great actors never achieve: she doesn't just sing or speak her lines with skill, she expresses the emotional meaning behind them so they take a shortcut straight into your soul. One of the greatest ever.
I feel like those of us in the US who've only learned of Hannah Waddingham from Ted Lasso have been cheated all these previous years! What an amazingly talented and beautiful person she is!
