Hi, I've followed your steps but when i try to connect with enet cable it finds vehicle but when I connect doesn't read any data. Do you know what it can be ?
Helo.. Pls. Have same vers. Av INSTA +, have linked Ediabas like you showed, and inpa can acsepted, can turn on, turn of, but ISTA +, NOT.. what am do wrong.. 😢😢
Hi, thanks for the video, it's really helpful and will want to try it out soon. Do you perhaps know if there would be a problem with using ENET cable with Ethernet to USB-C dongle?
You're most welcome! You can definitely use a usb dongle. just ensure to get a high quality adapter as I've seen where some of the cheap stuff give issues.
You can download NodeEdiabasV3. It'll bypass the battery voltage for K+DCAN. As for ENET you can go ahead and ignore the message unless you're doing programming with ISTA+
If you're working on any car of E chassis or older you need K+DCAN. Should you be working on anything F chassis and newer then you need ENET. For both you can use a usb-c dongle to connect to your Mac
Hey I got everything to work except when I followed the driver steps exactly. I open up properties of usb serial port and I only have the following tabs: general, driver, details, events. No tab with port settings. Please help!
Yes that’s also an option, however, this function gives more functionality and ease of access to all files in case there were to be some change made to the parent folder in any sense.
All links are provided for where you can get the BMW software in the description and in one of my other video content. I also have a link to the BIMMERPOST forums that’s linked here that you can also check and it gives a detailed walk though of everything done in video
For the purpose of working with the E chassis I'm using a regular K+DCAN cable. It must have the switch. For F chassis and newer I'm using an ENET cable. Both bought from Amazon. Make sure you have the cable drivers properly installed and also the port settings properly configured.
Isnt bmw standard tools only for e series and below? This is not compatible with f series except for esys right?? Sorry i wish you would go more into what all this is for. Thank you
BMW standard tools works for both E & F series. Not every application that comes with standard tools works with F series but is fully compatible with E series. INPA and TOOL32 are both compatible with F series. Ideally you'd want to use ISTA and ESYS with F series for ease of doing all that you need.
Moving is easy. You can natively install it on the external but if you already have it installed and want to make a move. I suggest that you locate the Windows 11.pvm file and copy it to your external. Ensure that you then boot it from that location and all should be set. Dont ever unplug the external from your computer while having windows running as it may corrupt the OS. Also it serves best to have the drive formatted to APFS for no lags and ease of use during operation. Cheers!
I use various cables dependent on what kind of work is being done. K+DCAN, ICOM, ENET. All these options I use depending on the job I'm doing. I tend to use the ENET and K+DCAN in most of my videos since that's what the majority of persons have available to them.
You can source the Programming data separately from ISTA+ itself and manually update the files. Shoot me an email for further aid if you desire to have that done!
Hi Rostech_automotive, I have a question, I’m wanting to update my Bluetooth ULF module to 13th generation. I have a X5 E53 4.8is (2004) I have Ista p and winkfp……… bmw standard tools using a K-DCAN cable. What software would you recommend for this upgrade please? Look forward to your reply. Thanks in advance Danny
