Adam is my spirit animal. What religion is Clinton? Lol no one is more real and down to earth than Adam Carolla. He’s just for what makes sense and has been for 25 years.
Whenever a cop has written me a ticket, either on my bike or in my car, they always ask for an explanation of why I was doing what they stopped me for. And I always reply, does it matter? It never does, of course. So if it doesn’t matter why I was going 15 mph over the speeding limit or why I didn’t stop at a stop sign while riding on campus, then you’re just wasting both of our time. Write me the ticket and let me go. But they always want to hear your reasoning just so they can tell you how stupid that reasoning is. Don’t fall for it. It just gets you talking - which civilians should never do with cops when they’ve been stopped. What you say can only gets you into more trouble, it’ll never get you off, no matter how valid the excuse is.
I'm atheist, but to be fair, most of the ground breaking scientists that opened the door for others to follow were religious. Copernicus was definitely a devout Christian. It's important to note that most intelligent people are able to separate science from their religion. My father was not a scientist, yet was able to separate his religious beliefs from what he loved, which was astronomy and physics. He knew the Earth wasn't 6,000 years old.
I'm reminded of a family guy cutaway about a group of guys arriving in vegas and one of them is married, and all he does is talk about his wife and all the souvenirs he's gonna buy her
"I'm just a humble carpenter- remember what Jesus was?" While I'm no expert, I'm pretty sure comparing yourself favourably to Jesus doesn't make you a humble person. And I say that as a non-Christian. What a douchebag.
In another version he says that the panties were super wet, Adam was wearing them on his head around the office, and the girl that they belonged to actually worked right there in the office with Adam.
Most officers agree with Adam.. The officers that can wait to write tickets for dumb shit and never give warnings aren’t getting invited to bbq’s or retirement parties...
The fact that famous scientists have been devoutly religious, the fact that the Catholic Church was instrumental in the development of science, escapes Chief Theologian Carolla. Perhaps if he did some studying and less carpet cleaning, he might know a couple of things.
Any scientist that was "devoutly" religious (certainly hyperbole on your part) is undoubtedly just a manifestation of Pascal's Wager. Yes, a lot of scientific discovery was done by Christians- centuries ago- simply because nobody else was available to do the job. Easily squared when you consider the Catholic Church's dominance in socioeconomic and political power. Check out this article from Sam Harris where he excoriates Francis Collins' ridiculous attempt at marrying science to religion: samharris.org/the-strange-case-of-francis-collins/
dear god this is soo good. is this the only version available on their albums? Do they perform it live? This and "Orange" are my classic favorite DW tunes, though I have many other faves in there, of course. Wish they'd tour in Europe proper this summer 2018.. we would not miss it.
Wow. Talk about low. Considering Adam Carolla's reputation for being a professional asshole, not sure how reliable his word is on judging another person's work skills, especially when that person has openly admitted numerous times throughout the course of his career that he's by no means the perfect carpenter. Below is a quote from Pennington's first book from his Trading Spaces days, "Ty's Tricks"; "I am only human, I don't know everything. I make a lot of mistakes and sometimes smell bad, but I am creative and persistent and I will get the job done." In addition, if Carolla was truly an expert at carpentry he would have known that carpentry in itself is not a single trade, but a line of work which encompasses several different trades. Most of Pennington's skills in carpentry fall under the category of Finish carpentry, which mainly involves building furniture and smaller-scale construction projects. Having actually worked with him myself, he does his best, and is not afraid to ask for help. If you look up any interview he's done in the past 15 years or so, he commonly makes a note of pointing that out. He's also pointed out that he's really a better artist and designer than carpenter. He worked as a general contractor briefly back in the 80's before he decided his real talent was in graphic design, after which his carpentry skills still provided him numerous opportunities. In 1995 he worked as a set designer for the film "Leaving Las Vegas", a job I highly doubt he got with his looks. I also can't help but notice a whiff of a scent of jealousy coming from Corolla's direction. Since EMHE ended five years ago, Pennington is a common face at home design showrooms and expos, he was recently elected Grand Marshal for Folds of Honor Quik Trip 500, helped paint a mural at a community center in his hometown of Atlanta, was part of a project building sustainable housing in Tanzania, was in the Rose Parade, as well as a few other accomplishments. Meanwhile, when you look up Corolla in the news, all he's been up to is pissing people off. You tell me, now whose the real joke?
