I fell in love with her voice, Roxanne I still love your voice, it just hits me right...every time I heard later on with a female rapper I'd shout to the sky. "Where is Roxanne, I need to hear her"!! God love you always....blessed...xxx
Both of these young ladies was talented as hell I like how they did a battle so both of them could keep their careers popping and make money. Shante ended up doing something real professional. I don’t know what happened to Sparky, but she was my girl too. I give a shout out to both of you because you guys were the actual beginners of all these ladies, miss Heather Heather being you guys salute to all y’all for making a way for all the other ladies that came up today🫡🙏🏽🔥
Which version came first? This one or the other one that didn’t have curse words? I like the other one is better which makes me think that one was the remake where they recorded it with it put together better and the track flows better. 😊
This is the first. It’s the actual recording of the off the head freestyle recorded on tape in Marley’s apartment. The audio pressed to wax is a cassette tape recording of the first time Marley and Magic played the tape on the air. Her curse words aren’t bleeped out. At that time it was called “Roxanne Speaks Out”.
The one you like is the studio version they had to make because UTFO sued her and Marley for copyright infringement for using their beat. That’s why the beat on the studio version is different and has Marley scratching.
That was back when female rappers could rap and minag, cardi b flexible red and the rest of the non rapping, no words having, and non intellectual female noise making ,idiots can stop getting dudes to write their so called lines and do it for themselves
proof when the ladies go in on each other the barbs are thrown in the verses are rated nuclear with the disses. both are equally good as Sparky has a mean flow, but Roxanne throws her off guard with the more clever wordplay.
