This worked a treat for me, the fans normally run for about 5 seconds on start up but this morning they started and just kept running at high speed, vents were clean and no programmes were running. I found your video, followed your instructions, my settings were 'active and 100%', changed them to passive and 95%. Re-booted and bingo, back to normal. Cant thank you enough, the noise was driving me crazy.
Hope you can help. I changed some settings on my laptop that made all the letters/ graphics look porous on my screen. I did this on advice to speed up my computer and to decrease the fan that was driving me nuts. Now, I barely can read these thin porous letters and can't figure out what I have done. I hope you can give some ideas to save me from this. I recall it was somewhere deep in the settings, something to do with processor I believe. No idea
Thanks for sharing. Will this work on a mobile device on Android? I see that the copy(text) function works on iOS but not on Android. You get a “failed to copy to clipboard error.
A most impressive demonstration of the power of custom components, thank you Todd. Also, for anyone else looking at this video after July 2023, Microsoft finally released the Copy to clipboard function in PowerApps, so no need for a custom component any longer, but this is a great explanation of custom components.
I work for a Microsoft Partner. Do you see any opportunities to manage IP with this tool? Can it make deployments to the client’s tenant easier? These are the questions I would like to know more on.
Yes, it can make deployments to a client's tenant easier. I have tested tenant to tenant deployments with the Catalog and it works. In my test, I provisioned a Catalog in the source and target tenants. You can import Solutions containing your IP into any Catalog. Keep in mind, you can also distribute your IP via App Source.
Thanks Todd You got us to the folder in which in which the excel file is stored. The thing is in my folder I have a 100 excel files Is there a way I can find out which one it is?? Thanks
WoW! A few seconds agter hitting the 'apply' button the cpu fan fell silent !!! I had already played with the Bios fan curve so now my PC is quiet as a mouse!! THANK YOU!!! I was going to buy either a Noctua fanless heat sink or a new fanless PC but now I think I will stick to this set up!
Overheating or check ur pc vents last thing end processes that are running if nothing works then this vid is for u if nothing nothing really works idk man just go to a pc fixer
Use motherboard utilty to reduce cpu fan i use gibabyte you can choose quiet and performance option when using performance cpu fan rpm jumps 2200+ when using quiet its below 1600 rpm it really reduced the noise more than 80%
Omg brother thank u so much! now it doesnt sound like i have a vacuum ocd..literally was thinking of buying a new computer because of it..thanks again!!!!!!!!
Hi Todd. This is an amazinf piece of work (even if say the code is easy it took a non standard approach to develop and implement it). I trying to use this component in a scenario of a simple COPY button - the one you can see on Azure or other services. Is there a way to ignore the text field you created and link the copy button to the ThisItem object please?
