To reduce the max processor state, works when you are doing simple tasks, however if you work with software that require all the power of your processor, this is not recommended if you don't want to lose performance...
This worked a treat for me, the fans normally run for about 5 seconds on start up but this morning they started and just kept running at high speed, vents were clean and no programmes were running. I found your video, followed your instructions, my settings were 'active and 100%', changed them to passive and 95%. Re-booted and bingo, back to normal. Cant thank you enough, the noise was driving me crazy.
This helped me so much I was so sick of my video games turning on my fan while I am trying to make a video and than the tedious task of trying to get rid of the background noise of the fan nearly impossible due to my ignorance and simplicity in learning. You're a life saver! 🥰
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My pc fan was so loud it was driving me crazy and got on my last nerves! Now it's so quiet I can relax and not be irritated by the loud noise. Your video really saved me from so much aggravation!!!!
WoW! A few seconds agter hitting the 'apply' button the cpu fan fell silent !!! I had already played with the Bios fan curve so now my PC is quiet as a mouse!! THANK YOU!!! I was going to buy either a Noctua fanless heat sink or a new fanless PC but now I think I will stick to this set up!
Sir, i cant see "Processor power management" under advanced power settings. All i see is - Sleep, Display and Battery. Can you please help me? I am using HP Spectre X360 and the fan is so annoying
GREAT VIDEO BUT ADJUSTMENT OF THE FAN WHICH IN THE FIRST PLACE THE USER SHOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO CONTROL AS THE COMPUTERS INSIDE TEMPRATURE CPU SENSORS NEED FULL CONTROL WHEN THE PROCESSOR GETS TOO WARM WHEN PLAYING A GAME OR DOING CALCULATIONS THAT USES A LOT OF POWER IN SOME CASES IT WILL TURN YOUR COMPUTER OFF UNEXPECTEDLY IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMTHING IMPORTANT,IT WOULD BE OK BUT WHATEVER SOFTWARE IS BEING USED AND AS LONG AS IT DOSENT HAVE FULL CONTROL OVER THE FULL TEMPRATURE RANGE,AND AS LONG AS WHEN THE CPU STARTS TO COOK THEN THE SOFTWARE THAT THE USER IS PROGRAMMING WITH NEEDS TO CUT OUT AND LET THE COMPUTER CONTROL THE FAN TO BRING THE TEMPRATURE BACK DOWN FAST OR AT A PREDETERMINED SAFE LEVEL OTHERWISE YOUT COMPUTER WILL SWITCH OFF UNEXPECTEDLY AND INSTANT,I HAVE HAD INSTANCES WHERE AFTER AN UPDATE FAN STOPPING COMPLETLEY THEN AFTER A FEW MINUTES YOUR COMPUTER INSTANTLY SWITCHES OFF NEVER TO GO LONG ENOUGH TO LOAD WINDOWS AGAIN,IHOW YOU FIX IT IS TURN YOUR COMPUTER ON ITS SIDE ,GET A HAIR DRIER ON COLD AIR ONLY AND HOLD IT INTO THE FAN AIR INPUT,KEEP IT ON COLD AIR, AND SWITCH ON YOUR COMPUTER KEEPING IT INTO THE FAN INPUT,WHEN YOUR COMPUTER SWITCHES ON DO A SYSTEM RESTORE,JUST CLICK ON IT THEN PICK ANY DATE BEFORE THE DATE THAT THE COMPUTER STOPPED,THE COMPUTER WILL DO THE SYSTEM RESTORE ITSELF,THEN IT WILL SWITCH OFF AND RESTART,WHEN IT RESTARTS THE FAN WILL BE WORKING AGAIN WORKS EVERY SINGLE TIME ON ANY COMPUTER,OTHERWISE ITS A BIN JOB I THOUGHT UPDATES ARNT SUPPOSED TO AFFECT THE CRITICAL COMPONENTS ON A COMPUTER, LIKE THE FAN,CAUSE WITHOUT THE FAN YOU WONT HAVE ANY COMPUTER,IT IS THE ONLY SINGLE THING THAT THE CPU CANT DO WITHOUT,BUT I THINK CERTAIN UPDATES ACTUALLY CAN WRECK IT,BUT WHY SHOULD THEY AFFECT THE FAN,IVE SAVED HAVING TO BUY 5 COMPUTERS BY DOING THIS TO MINE,VERY FRUSTRATING THOUGH BUT ALWAYS WORKS,(EVERY SINGLE TIME)SO BE VERY CAREFULL WHEN SLOWING DOWN THE FAN,I WOULDNT EVER DO IT,BUT THE SOFTWARE IS THERE TO PROGRAMME IT AND IM SURE ITS SAFE ENOUGH BUT BE CAREFULL,BUT REMEMBER THERMAL RUNAWAY IN ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS,UNLIKE AN ENGINE THEY SAY IT RUNS BETTER WARMED UP, BUT ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS WORK THE OPPOSITE WAY,THE COOLER THE CPU THE BETTER ,UP TO A POINT THAT THERMAL RUNAWAY WILL TAKE PLACE,WHERE THE HOTTER A SEMMI CONDUCTOR GETS,THE MORE CURRENT IT DRAWS,AND THE HOTTER IT GETS,AND THE HOTTER IT GETS ,IT TAKES EVEN MORE CURRENT,AND SO ON UNTILL IT BREAKS DOWN,THATS THERMAL RUNAWAY, THANK YOU FOR A GREAT UPLOAD
Overheating or check ur pc vents last thing end processes that are running if nothing works then this vid is for u if nothing nothing really works idk man just go to a pc fixer
Hope you can help. I changed some settings on my laptop that made all the letters/ graphics look porous on my screen. I did this on advice to speed up my computer and to decrease the fan that was driving me nuts. Now, I barely can read these thin porous letters and can't figure out what I have done. I hope you can give some ideas to save me from this. I recall it was somewhere deep in the settings, something to do with processor I believe. No idea
Omg brother thank u so much! now it doesnt sound like i have a vacuum ocd..literally was thinking of buying a new computer because of it..thanks again!!!!!!!!
Use motherboard utilty to reduce cpu fan i use gibabyte you can choose quiet and performance option when using performance cpu fan rpm jumps 2200+ when using quiet its below 1600 rpm it really reduced the noise more than 80%
Omg thanks so much for your tip!!! Also I've found pretty much anything becomes quieter after you spit on it apart from loud people who tend to get louder
