I mean I love trains but some of you guys need a gym day instead of a train day. Honestly if you omit all processed foods and drinks from your diets you should be way better off, that way you'll be healthier and luve longer to pass on what you learned to the next gen.
Mike, It is a nice set. I really like it. You will like yours when you get it. I also duplicated full Empire Builder showing at our CLRC May Open House Video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WRZcey7EbJ0.html Thanks, Herb herbwkoch@gmail.com
Nice club layout. It’s great to have the room to have long straight lines because the trains always look there best when they are stretched out. Most of us don’t have that kind of room .essentially in o gauge
This looks like a wonderful layout even the building looks amazing. I just wanted to see more farther away video shots you were to close up most of the time for me but that’s OK. I still enjoyed it. It’s very nice good job.
Dave, We do have wonderful layout with vignettes that are worth the view. Our layout builders are very proud of their work and I will make a point to show more of them in the next Open House Video later this month. Thanks, Herb
Wow, that train looks great. It looked good in the catalog, but it looks better on a layout. It sounds great too. You did a nice job of "generating some revenue" for that train company. 😄😄 I can't believe you already received products out of the '23 volume 2 catalog. I'll probably have to wait a couple more months for my stuff. 🙁
Kevin, I like this set also. My first big train set was the 1992 Empire Builder and liked that set. It is nice to get this updates set. Thanks, Herb herbwkoch@gmail.com
YeOldGeezer, good catch. You are correct. We did take it out later in the video. However, did you notice that It did run good even with it still in the engine. Herb herbwkoch@gmail.com
Very interesting idea and exercise. As he was describing how it would work, I thought it might be complicated and there would be a learning curve. It looks like everything worked out well and everybody had a good time.
Kevin, Tom did a good job orienteering our members on the mission. We had a good time. As you can see from the review at the end of the video, many good recommendations were made. I know that Tom is already updating the protocols. Thanks, Herb
Cool Herb, Iceland is on my list. Have been to Sweden twice in the last few years (Matt was a foreign exchange student at Södertörn University just south of Stockholm so that was our excuse to visit a couple times (and we did some family tree work while there including visiting a few of the Nilsson homes as well as the Johansson side of the family (Grandma Nelson was born in Liatorp, Sweden and we visited a few of her childhood homes). I had contacted some of the local towns which put me in touch with genealogy groups and they were great, on both sides of the family we met people and followed them around to the homes where they lived, churches where they were born, cemeteries where great grandparents were buried. Sweden is a nice place to visit.
I need some more knowledge of digital signals. I found myself not understanding a lot of what was going on. Does Lionel have a book or some resource for this information?
Ken, I enjoyed making this video. Glad that you liked it. I also have many more Lionel Train videos that you might enjoy. by the way, I have other interests such as traveling that you might like. In any case there is much to enjoy. Thanks, Herb herbwkoch@gmail.com
Another spectacular video from Herb. This one shows almost every detail of the layout, and it shows just how great this Club is during an Open House. It is wholesome family entertainment for an afternoon.
Lucy, Sandstone, mortar and wooden beams were the three primary construction materials for the cliff dwellings. The Ancestral Pueblo people shaped each sandstone block using harder stones collected from nearby river beds. Thanks, Herb
A great Holiday video. The Club looks like so much fun and very festive. The CLRC in December is kind of a magical place. Let's be honest, model trains and Christmas just belong together. 😃
Tim, I am using Gargrave Track, bendable, 40” long. By the way, how did you like the video? Thanks, Herb Herbert W. Koch President Chicagoland Lionel Railroad Club herbwkoch@gmail.com
