HI! I am reactor from the UK. I Am reacting to Elvis Presley, Depeche Mode, Michael Jackson in chronological order. I do often react to other singers and groups too
This one is very good, Prince is very talented! You should check out Chris Cornell's (the lead singer of the band Audioslave, Soundgarden and Temple of The Dog) cover too, his version is also different but amazing! One of the best singers in my opinion
Basically, what He's saying is that He loves Her so much, and if He can't have Her now, then He's gonna have to bounce, because He knows it'll hurt way too much seeing Her around, knowing he'll never have her! I could be wrong, but that's how I've always interpreted it! 🫡
This version was fantastic!! I think it’s even better than when she performed this on the Blonde Ambition tour. I love 80’s Madonna! If you want a drastic and beautiful vocal change, watch her performance of You Must Love Me that she performed at the Academy Awards. Don’t know what year off hand but it’s easy to find.
Seph, you are a very lucky man if you haven’t been hurt like that. However, that’s a reason why DM has been so successful for decades. They write about what so many people have gone through. Not to put in details, but this song is very relevant to me right now. Excellent track!
This one has to be one of THE ELVIS GREATEST. 2 other artists recorded this song because they loved it so much but Elvis nails it THE BEST in his delivery of the brilliant and funny lyrics and his just INCREDIBLE voice!😀♥
Into the Groove is totally timeless Madonna magic! Everyone that hears it, likes it. It was her first number one single in the UK. The remix from the You can Dance LP is incredible. The way her vocals are chopped around on the words “Come on” 80’s gold!!!
Hello, you heard this song in the Blond Ambition. Madonna in her live shows always changes the versions of her songs, if you hear the original it is different from the 2 versions you have heard. Madonna in order not to be out of breath singing began to run and use a bicycle while singing to then hold up on tours
p.s: Looking forward to your next ELVIS reaction Seph! There are 3 of his biggest hits: 'Promised Land', 'My Boy' and 'I've Got A Thing About You Baby' coming up soon.😀♥
I like Sinead’s version too, but this is definitely different and I like it better. This is a demo that Prince recorded for his then girlfriend who he created a band for called The Family in 1984. The Family recorded it and it was on their debut album in 1985. After Sinead made this song popular in 1990, Prince decided to record another version as a live duet with his band mate at the time, Rosie Gaines. That version was released on his The Hits 1 & 2/The B-Sides compilation released in 1993. You didn’t hear his versions on the radio because they weren’t released as singles. This demo version was released by his estate after he passed and put it on his Originals album. That album has songs that he recorded and gave to others. He didn’t give this song to Sinead like someone commented. She was able to record it because of the rules and the record company owned the rights to the song. He did often “give” songs to others though.
I like this! So interesting! By the way if you want to know the songs he's singing at around 22:33 is "What The World Needs Now Is Love" by Jackie DeShanonn and "Walk On By" by Dionne Warwick! Great 60s songs! I think they'd be good songs to react to actually! I also think a Michael Jackson cover of these songs would ne so amazing!
I agree with you. After hearing Sinead's version countless times, this is a jarring listen. I much prefer the minimal instrumentation of Sinead's version. I don't care for the backing vocals and guitars that punctuate the end of each verse line. It feels so clunky and interrupts the mood and flow. In general this is not the type of Prince production that typically resonates with me. I'd like to hear Prince's vocal over Sinead's backing track. Check out "The Beautiful Ones". It's a total stunner. Probably my favorite Prince song. "You were so hard to find... the beautiful ones, they hurt you every time..." (1:38) I love when you leave in the Seph bloopers. 😉
Ok Seph I have to say, when I first watched this I fell in love with Michael immediately!! Lol, he is so fascinating! I guess that's also what happened to you?? I mean I didn't have any opinion about him to "change my mind", I knew a few of his songs and watched a few of his performances and thought he was very talented but other than that I didn't know anything about his life or what he was like, and there is something about him that's very captivating and just makes me want to hug him haha I don't know, so cute! ❤🥰 I think what got me was the fact that he was 24 in this and still had such an innocence and fun and joyful aspect about him that he appreciated and loved all the simple little things about life that we normally don't really stop to appreciate, like a flower, sunset, dawn, butterflies, all the animals, children, nature, people, I don't know I mean he just seems so genuine, it's just so rare and special, that really sparked my interest to know more about him, and what really breaks my heart is that bad greedy people really wanted to take that away from him in the most cruel way, he suffered so much all of his life, and still all he wanted to do was to heal the world and make people happy, I watched an amazing documentary about all his humanitarian efforts (which I really hope you react to), he went to a hospital and did not stop until he found a liver for a little boy who was dying, he saved him! One of many, no one talks about that, he's such a lovely soul! After watching more documentaries and his interviews, I gained such an appreciation and love for him, as a person more than anything, he really was magic ♥️😢 this interview has now a special place in my heart ❤
My favorite Prince version is the “nothing compares 2 u (cinematic mix).” You can find it on RU-vid. It was released as a target exclusive as an extra song on the cd.
This is the Legendary Chante Moore whose career began in 92’. She is known for sensual love songs and people have no idea that she is so explosive until they see her live!! These are what her actual shows are like!! I see her in concert once a year!!
