Hello Levy, Thank you for your question! The red and white circular object on the video is a plumber's tape. You may need it when the Lokby handheld shower head with hose is installed. The plumber's tape is used to prevent leaks around the threads. It also helps the shower head stay in place while you shower. Just wrap it around the thread connections for 2-3 rounds and press tightly. Regards, Kristy Lokby Customer Support
Hello Marion, Thank you for your feedback! I'm sorry that you were confused about a missing piece. Lokby 8-setting handheld shower head doesn’t include the check valve in a set. The shower was designed in such a way that it is no longer needed. Maybe you have the 8-setting model, and that is the reason it wasn't included. You can contact us directly at support@lokby.pro, and our customer support assistants will do their best to answer all your questions and help you resolve the issue. Thank you so much! This has go to be literally the ONLY video on RU-vid for INSTALLING a flow restrictive instead of removing one. Our plumber removed ours without asking, and our water bill skyrocketed. Thank you for showing me how to put one back in.
Hello Daniel, Thank you for choosing Lokby shower head with hose! It's wonderful that you find this video helpful, and your feedback inspires us to create more helpful content, so you will enjoy the shower head use! I hope the installation of a water restrictor will help you reduce your bill and save water. Regards, Kristy Lokby Customer Support
Hello, Lokby handheld showerhead is equipped with a water flow restrictor that reduces the amount of water that will come out of your showerhead, as required by US law and some local government regulations. If you live in the area with an extremely low pressure or if you’re just really not getting enough flow, you may remove the water flow restrictor. Please keep in mind that you can only do it if you are sure that, after pulling it out, you will still be in compliance with US federal and local regulations. Regards, Kristy Lokby Customer Support
I recommend removing it, it's just so much better (do it at your own risk since it may be a violation of federal law). For legal reasons, this comment is not legal advice.
Thank you for posting this video. After I bought my Lokby shower head and installed it without the water restrictor, I threw the instructions away. This shower head provides so much water pressure that I think I want to try it with the water restrictor in it to see how much it will effect the water pressure. Another reason is without the water restrictor, I've noticed my water bill has increased by about 8 dollars a month. No big deal but would like to see if the bill goes back down with the restrictor in place.
