Believe if you have an EEV valve that closes down due to blower stopping coincident with compressor turn off and leaves liquid line trapped at evaporator EEV on one end and back flow block on scroll compressor end, full of liquid refrigerant you can have restart issues with floating seal quickly establishing differential pressure seal during startup. The liquid line may take 10-20 minutes to relieve back pressure which is enough time for a new restart call by thermostat. Although Copeland claims scroll compressor doesn't need pressure equalization because it starts unloaded, lack of achieving pressure differential quickly on floating seal can beat it to death with startup chatter over usages time. You may hear a short 'brassy cymbal' sound for a moment when compressor starts up with a chattering floating pressure seal.
I have the noise in my room. The hvac is right outside. Idk if i should try adding a book shelf on the wall to block the noise or adding a pipe like you did on the outside. I hear the vibrations so idk if i should block the noise or remove the vibrations. I added a soft start and that helped a lot with the start up bang that was waking me up.

wouldnt it be better to have a thermal switch located in the port in the side of the scroll assembly or even better when the disk opens a push rod would actuate a switch to stop the compressor? since they do make single phase scroll compressors it is possible that there is a overload protector externally 3phase compressors would have to have the protection internally since disconnecting one of the 3 wires would single phase it causing problems.
