i did listen to this while i was doing something else.. i put my speakers on stereo so i could listen to the meditative music bouncing between my ears.. i am already listening to meditative music 3 times a day for pain.. i am trying to find a place where i can fit this in.. my ear buds died.. if i get some ear buds when best buy has their black friday sale in october i should be able to listen to this when i am walking or in the park..
I had an osteopathic manipulative therapy yesterday and every time I have one I need a couple days to recover.. I was able to listen to this meditation while laying down with my ear phones on.. I think that is the way to do it..
This is SUCH a great meditation...but as a Highly Sensitive Person, the constant rustling in the background was very hard to overcome and made it difficult to focus on the words. I know this video is a couple of years old, but a re-record without the rustling and the audible swallowing might be a valuable thing to do.
Thank you for the feedback. I remember recording this in my car in the middle of winter because my dog was snoring too loud in the house lol. I will see if I have the ability to update the audio but will probably need to do a whole new video.
@@HealingwithHilery Well, silly doggo, ha ha. And, I mean, it may not bother most people, I'm just a HSP, so EVERYTHING bothers me. I just got through a session with my dietician where her smoke alarm low-batt beep kept going off every minute or so. We were both about to lose it. (She did give me the choice to reschedule, but I didn't want to make her do that. She didn't know that was a low-batt sound, so until I mentioned it, she didn't know what to do, but also didn't have batteries handy, so we just toughed it out.)
I was going to skip this, but decided to give it a try. It was truly a great portrayal of how I, and others, feel about going through a chronic illness. I liked your analogies of the body being like a child working through this the best it can, and I appreciated the fact that you included mental illness as well. I have been through 20 years of overlapping toxin-related illnesses and now it’s Lyme coinfections, which also affect the brain. My grown son is going through the same thing since we both had our immune systems compromised by other toxins, and these infections manifested. The parts about having to skip family gatherings and other functions are very sad and frustrating, and I question my future. However, this made me feel better about it, and not get so mad at myself, frustrated, and try so hard to b normal. It’s also hard to admit that I’m not well, and I always try to act happy, but that doesn’t always work out. Thank you for this. I’m a new subscriber and pushed the bell❣️
I'm really glad you gave it a try. I think we can be so hard on ourselves when dealing with illness and the negative self talk can do even more damage and keep us feeling trapped in our sick bodies even more. I was dealing with mycotoxins, babesia, Ehrlichia, POTS, and heavy metal poisoning for nearly five years when I recorded this - healing is possible! I hope you are able to find a path to healing too 💜
tapping starts 👉 6:15 🤗probably the most helpful script I've come across for helping me settle into gratitude. when doing this work, it has helped me greatly to do this tap at the top of every hour (at 2X playback speed takes 6 minutes) because the pattern was so stubborn and uncomfortable... till the resistance started to soften, and I can say that I feel better and the world is looking brighter by the hour, literally. thank you so much! 💖
As often as you would like but it would be great if you could do it weekly. It is especially helpful after long days of being on your feet or when you are feeling stressed. I find it can be very relaxing before bed too!
This is amazing. Thank you so much for this. I found this meditation last night when I was having a really rough time coping with all the ups and downs of chronic illness. I couldn’t put into words how I was feeling to my partner, but once I listened to this I just sent it to him. I plan to share this with so many more people in the chronic illness community!!
