I’m an average guy, with an average knowledge base. Basically, I’m just like you. I’m not an expert, but I give a good representation of what an average person can expect when doing a project. If I can do it, you can do it. My videos are DIY projects and occasionally I do non biased, honest product reviews. In the paraphrased words of Abraham Lincoln, “I’m not gonna lie to ya!”
Very helpful video. It was a little different on my 02 5.9L 4x4 1500. The starter is sort of cramped into a cubbyhole and just getting the bolts off (one bolt, one nut) was tough because the tight space, and then worming it out of it's cubby and back in again. Forget breaker bars and torque wrenches! All the same, couldn't have done it without you. Thanks!
I’m having a similar problem in my ‘15 Accord 6MT, but it’s with my clutch pedal. There is a small (<1cm) amount of play in the pedal before resistance starts, and cruise only sets when it is slightly pushed in. The pushpin sensor is threaded, so it would make sense to me if it can just be tightened down ever so slightly. I’m worried doing so might cause wear on my clutch though. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thank you!
Yeah right! I needed to know what the wires look like because I forgot how they go together and this was a waste of time for me because he cuts off when he is connecting them back
Hey D.U.M. Jeff you see those threads on the switch? You know the switch that you made duct tape and Penny for? Those are adjustment threads! So you can adjust the switch forward as it wears! I think you should stop advising people how to fix their car if you're not a professional.
Everytime I put the car into drive or reverse, the third brake light on the dashboard keeps lighting up. This problem occurred when I recently changed the light bulb to LED. However, I changed it back to the original light bulb but it still won't go away. What is wrong?
I just did this and it lasted about 20 minutes it was super hot on medium setting it turned off by itself and wouldn't go to any other settings. I had to manually turn it off, so i turned back on and left heat on a really low setting and still got hot and shut off after about 3 minutes. So i gotta check what i did wrong, but i know i put all wires back how tgey were with the old one and the heating element.
I recommend that you do not remove the radiator cap before you begin to drain. This way, it will drain much slower until you are sure you have yourself out of the way of spilling liquid and the drain pan in place. Then, remove the radiator cap. Use this method on any vehicle. You’re welcome! lol
Did this job yesterday on a '03 Ram 1500 2WD Automatic. Everything shown in this video was dead-on. I even decided to use the 5/8" socket rather than a 16mm as it was a tighter fit to the mounting bolts. I used a universal joint with the socket/ratchet, but I really didn't need to. I was able to use my 1/2" torque wrench to torque the mounting bolts to 50 ft-lb (as specified in the service manual) without using an extension for either bolt. The toughest thing for me was getting the electrical connector fully seated on the new starter (AutoZone Duralast) as the connector didn't want to insert far enough to "latch" the retaining clip. I eventually got it to hold.
Jeff this instruction vedieo is great. I and my wife did the replacement within 2.456 hours, hehehee. But it now works. You saved us a lot of money by not hiring a mechanic. We will be watching out for more of your video's.
Thank you for your teaching! But we follow the video and change to the brand new heating stuff, and we put the door and follow all the instruction, but when we turn on the power it turn off by itself like in 5 seconds, do you know the why it turn off the power?
Great video thank you, just have one question i have CRV gen 2 jiw to rich to that brake pin space,do i have to remove the plastic under the steering wheel? thank you in advance
Wow It happened to me as well right after leaving the shop! The sound disappeared for a couple of days but now it's back. I am going to call the shop to get it sorted, as they were working on the brakes.
I just hit my actuator pretty hard with a wrench and it started working again sometimes they just get stuck hope this helps somone. Now my ac blows through my vents
It might sound crazy but I used Easy Off oven cleaner to remove the leftover glue. Spray it on.. Wait about 90-120 seconds and start scraping using a plastic scraper. Have the garden hose rinsing as you scrap to dilute the oven cleaner. Glue came off like butter with no damage..
Alright boys, new test, how long does a low profile long reach daytona jack last without ever being greese (i dont have a greese gun and i dont feel like buying one just for the jack)
