Lol, track 9 just sounds like someone flushing a toilet, set to a slowed down Archspire track. Imo, it doesn't get harder than Disembodied Tyrant - their EP with Synestia was absolutely incredible. Anyone can do tunnel gutturals over blast beats and tinny guitars, but it takes skill to take a genre that's already densely packed with talent, and make something heavier and new out of it. Blake Mullens is a talent from some other reality.
I might sound like one of those people but Bands with riffs like Lamb of god, Pantera, Chimaira and Sepultura easly outheavy these and they dont need the lowest of tunings because they are good at what they do.
I'd check out scumprophet. It's the magnum opus of a collaborative album between scumfuck and hollow prophet. Ben duerr and dickie allen on the same track. It ends with the heaviest breakdown i have ever heard in my life. Need i say more?
Y’all we get it, you don’t like it, but that doesn’t mean your legacy bands surviving off of merch and tours consisting mainly of older material are better. The only music that’s actually objectively better is Prog pushed to its limits. Y’all are starting to sound like modern “rap” “fans” that say Metal is just noisy emo screaming.
Meh, this kind of metal is always so over the top and it's a literal dick contest between the bands on who makes the heaviest song so it makes them blend together and the songwriting is just lazy. Just bad music
