Thats because lot of these are slam or some variation of that. Some of my favorite brutal death metal bands are Mortal Decay, Internal Bleeding, Demillich, Disgorge, Gorgasm, and more. Although i do love these stupidly over the top bands like this video

@@stanker6115 Honestly slipknot feels much heavier then any of these grindcore/deathcore songs. I think the quality of the sound in this particular video just makes the music presented too boring and not heavy. Just listen to like 5 seconds of Heaviest Matter of the Universe by Gojira and it already will blow any of this stuff away in terms of heaviness.

@@nyxo8064 I guess it's right if you're up for generic stratched shit. I wouldn't protect all of this bands, but at least 4 of them are just incomparably better at making truely NEW music. Not like Slipknot never did, but 3/4 of their songs would be 10 times better if were like 2 times shorter.
all these bands have super complex logos that are near impossible to read, but it's a sort of art that i can appreciate in a way. they're like the entangled brambles of doom, forming vague letters of prophecy. overall not my sorta music but i don't actually hate it. also all the people that made the album art are super talented.

if you listen to this type of music for only like 2 days, everything else is pop songs. i thought metallica, slayer, slipknot, and system of a down were heavy until i only listened to Infant Annihilator for a week and when i listened to those bands i just listened, i was like "😐"

Somebody said the vocals on their 2014 album (different vocalist, more normal death metal vocals) were generic. Mf EVERY slam vocal just sounds like someone downed a 32 oz baja blast at 3am and picked up the mic you can't call shit generic
The better question is "Why is it all just Slam?" At this point it's just a Lousiana Swamp with guitars, a bass, and drums just blasting in the background.

Slipknot fan here. Slipknot is kind of heavy but not this heavy, ive seen heavier ones like Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel, try those if you think Slipknot is heavy.
Wild how I saw this video so long ago as a kid and would ask myself why anyone would listen to this stuff. But now here I am years and years later realizing that I know all of the bands here
This video really helped heal my life. Because of my lack of sleep, I was failing school, being less social, and disappointing my family, teachers and friends. Its so hard to find metal that melts your face off without the lyrics just devolving into a pig/frog hybrid being hate fucked while the drummer plays "how fast can the bass pedal go". I just want a distinct melody, rather than a wall of noise
Breaking Benjamin. They’re more butt rock or post grunge than metal but they’re pretty much exactly what you’re looking for. If you want more metal I’d start with either Ember or Phobia but for Post Grunge check out We Are Not Alone
@David Avila Huata is much heavier for doomers, It isn't just over done sabbath worship. (Not saying anything is wrong with sabbath or EW , I love em both) However the underground of doom and sludge metal is where you'll find the good shit
