I searched for German cinnamon rolls because the last time I had it was when I was a child. It was so delicious that I still crave it 😅 The more common, overly sweet cinnamon buns aren't as enjoyable, and your video popped up first, which is awesome because I don't have to modify it to make it vegan. Great looking recipe. I will be trying this! I usually use vital wheat gluten to make "briskets", so adapting it for this schnitzel recipe will be great! Thanks for the video.
@@TheSimpleSprinkle I made it and it's super delicious! Very simple to make. And I've got some in the freezer ready to cook next time. Lovely with potato salad. Thanks!

Any ideas on how to make this recipe without Seitan flour and with the washing method instead? Gluten flour is too expensive for me so I want to wash the Seitan myself but if I do that I can’t really mix in the spices that aren’t apart of the broth.
Great question! You can always do a gluten free seitan (eg out of tofu), otherwise if you are going to wash the flour yourself I’m sure it’ll be fine without the extra seasonings in the dough. Make sure the broth is extra flavorful! My friend Jess from @wildveganflower has awesome washed flour seitan recipes!!
This recipe was a win on so many levels for me. Healthful. Delicious. Simple. Flexible. Pantry-frendly. I had so many of these ingredients on hand and needing to be used up, and just dumping them all together for a cozy bake made me very happy! Thank you for this; it’ll become a regular in my kitchen.
Omg why haven’t I thought if this? I absolutely LOVE hearts of palm is my favorite!! But they have vegan mozzarella sticks they sell at sprouts market or you can just use vegan shredded cheese to make this too! Thanks for the great idea!
Thank you! It’s a healthier alternative to the processed vegan foods, plus I personally don’t like the store bought varieties. The texture is not right yet imo. You can definitely use daisy cheese sticks, I think shredded vegan shreds will be hard to hold together. Another option would be cutting a block of vegan cheese into sticks, but I have more details on that on my blog!
