I actually got Metal Head, at BBTS, after Hasbro messed me around for 35 minutes until it was Sold Out. I wasn't that high on either of them. Metal Head, to me, is just another member of my Masters of Evil. For Cobra Commander, I really wasn't interested either, because, IMHO, Cobra Commander was NEVER a Man! A Coward, Imbecile, Buffoon, Baboon, Horrible Leader, Dolt, runs from 10 year olds!
I was able to get everything yesterday, but it was an absolute cluster$%&*. My advice - only use Pulse through a PC/laptop browser, as the mobile version and Pulse app still have massive bugs that need to be ironed out. This reminded me of 2008 - 2014 with HasbroToyShop.
Well, Jay, you we're right! Hasbro is gonna Hasbro and accidentally posted it at 8a EST and then took it down shortly after. And then it sold out in a matter of minutes (again) at 11a. And still with a 5-per limit. What a fiasco.
Having such a high limit of 5 units per customer was crazy. And then to go through all this product limit theatre at the show with stamping the badges, I think in previous years they allowed Three per customer online. That's a big difference in volume. I did not really care for the once a man Cobra Commander even though I'm collecting classified, Kind of ugly figure that won't really fit my display. The retro carded Chrome face version is fine with me. So I left it for someone who wanted it. Was able to order that IDW Transformers pack and Deaths Head. I know not everyone wants to pay for pulse premium, since your giving them free money up front, but they provide access and free shipping. But if your buying Haslabs, getting the SDCC and the upcoming Pulsecon exclusives (Skyduster!) it pays for itself.
They need to limit it to 2 per person. These resellers buy them all up then act like they are doing people a favor by profiting off of a shortage they cause.
I order my zartan sdcc from super7 bc bbts price was crazy....I paid for shipping..now I'm pissed that bbts now has the correct price and I paid more from super7...
I remember getting my first ever gi joes at consumer's distributing just had to search through a catalog then fill out a form the person would go into warehouse and bingo you had your toy.
I get on to pulse 12:59...refresh at 1pm...not available yet...refresh again says in stock but sold out at the same time....after about 3 to 5 minutes of me refreshing the 2 damn thing i wanted are sold out....premium membership for nothing...no once a man or death head for.... why 5 per customer if these damn things are so exclusive...
FYI, if anyone have the 89 Batmobile by McFarlane and Jada Toys Street Fighter (Fei Long) you can use his flame effect for the 89 Batmobile. I used a small spray bottle cap to bridge the two, but it works.
I bought 1 for myself and 2 for friends. I don’t scalp since I pay too much in taxes already and don’t have any time dealing with eBay. Now it should be a limit of 2 or 3. Conventions being 1 limit is dumb.
If you look at the 3 exclusives you're claiming bigbadtoystore price gauged they're all from super7 the same company. MOST LIKELY they where told from their distributor to sell them at that price. I wouldn't be surprised if they even fix the price in orders. Since the Deaths head is up at retail. Not surprised if that was a simple mistake. They have upped prices before but probably on stuff they purchased 2nd hand
Looks like Hasbro may have realized the huge debacle that this was on Pulse today. The listing now shows that it’s “sold out” but under that it says “coming soon”. So, I think more are on the way. Hopefully Hasbro puts it back up, gives us ample notification on when it will go live and limits it to two per person.
One per customer is a great policy. I hope they keep it up. Should apply to the post con left over sales as well. “Oh you got one at the show?” Congrats and new order cancelled.”
BBTS doesn’t use bots. They are an authorized retailer, just like Entertainment Earth, and they order direct from Hasbro at wholesale costs. It’s why they are listed on BBTS their normal retail price.
