Incorrect. He was most definitely not referring to himself, but to the archangel Michael mentioned in Daniel 12. Note also Mark 8:38, which is NOT a first-person reference: ‘Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when HE cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.’
Why? Because he's saying things you don't like. Bc he's deconstructing your precious book that you think is the infallible word of God? Aww you cannot handle the fact that the bible was written by men with their own agendas and for their own ends? 😂
I read the Mortara case and bought it several times as a gift. What a fantastic book! (And after finishing it, in an antique shop, I found an old postcard of the infamous Bologna church!)
How to categorise the great thinkers: 1. BC vs AD. Before Charles vs After Darwin 2. NER vs NEW. Not entirely right vs Not entirely wrong. Jung and Peterson are in the latter.
Did you know that, before he became Pope John Paul ll, he belonged to the nazi youth. He then grew up the become a salesman and biochemist for the I. G. Farben Chemical Company, where he invented zyclon-b and malathion? He then sold it to Hitler for extermination of the Jews.
The words "serpent" the "devil" and "Satan"....are all metaphors , they refer to the "carnal mind" of man . There is no "evil boogie man" out to get us......WE are our own worst "enemy" . The word "spirit" in scripture means the "consciousness" or "mind". "God is Spirit" ( John 4:24 ) "God" is the Mind and Consciousness in ALL human beings and in ALL things created ...... not some old man up in the sky somewhere .
@9:06 McKenna says the Bible doesn't have the Devil, I beg to differ! Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Some how watching more of this video seems like a waste of time! Satan, Devil, Dragon, and Serpent are the same!
Very interesting topic which I would have loved to stay with but the sound quality and the hearing of a 70yr old stopped me after five minutes. Maybe you could revisit this again ?
Burning people at the stake, atrocious as it is, at least makes sense as a method of eliminating those who threaten your power. Imagine the lunacy of exhuming someone to burn their bones, out of spite, over 4 decades after their death. If the actual history of the Catholic Church was taught in Catholic schools, there wouldn't be Catholic schools. Thank you for another great video.
In beste goode humour! - my only cavil (is trivial) not 'Why-cliff' but Whi(p)-cliff.... an aspirant wh-ah... to the 'i' of 'in' not the 'i' of 'nine' Whi-cliffe - Ye olde Englishe is moghty treacherous! Great post, as always - calm, accurate, and informative.
I read about this in Nicholas De Vere's 'The Dragon Legacy' he claims the Church stole the right of Kings and used it to crown Farmer and Merchant classes, while ousting true Royal bloodlines descended from the Scythian Kings...
People don't realize how ridiculous the 40 years are. So, let's do a simple calculation: 40 years is 40*365*24 hours, that is 350,400 hours. According to the internet, the garden snail's can reach a speed of 0.048 km/hour, so in that amount of time a snail would have crawled 16819.2 km. Divide this distance by 752km (according to your video @1m50sec) and you get 22.36, which is how many times a snail would have done this trip in 40 years. Here's an other way to view this: About 600,000 Israelites wake up every day, they put a garden snail on the ground, they all get behind it and start following it. After just over one hour (64.38 minutes to be exact) they stop, pick up the snail and set camp for the day. They do the same thing the next day, and every day for 40 years until they reach the promised land. Meanwhile, the Pharaoh's army is chasing them. Thank you for the video.
I remember learning about the forged primacy in school in Greece, many decades ago. A few years later, in my late adolescence/early adulthood I became an atheist, and back then I used to think that most of it was bitterness about losing power to the Vatican (school books in Greece are, of course, heavily biased towards anything Byzantium related). This channel (which, I will say again, is shamefully undersubscribed) helped me see that, at least on this subject, my school books were basically accurate. Thank you, kind sir, for yet another very interesting video. Looking forward to your book.
Thank you for your kind words. There is certainly tension between the Latin and Greek Churches, with tons of rhetoric and little or no basis in reality. In Vatican Lies 3, I have the excerpt of the CNN documentary in which the seemingly Latin-inspired producers made the most blatant statements of papal imaginings.
Thank you for this video. There's a famous debate on YT on whether the Catholic Church is a force for good in the world. Against the proposition were Christopher Hitchens and Stephen Fry. They did a great job in my opinion. However, this channel shows that they didn't even scratch the surface. Once again I have to quote one of my favorite passages from one of my favorite books: “Many religions now come before us with ingratiating smirks and outspread hands, like an unctuous merchant in a bazaar. They offer consolation and solidarity and uplift, competing as they do in a marketplace. But we have a right to remember how barbarically they behaved when they were strong and were making an offer that people could not refuse.” ― Christopher Hitchens, God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything
JP is nothing apart from a vile nihilist which is revealed by his own statements along with his philosophical influences, much of what he says is filled to the brim with rhetoric/sophistry!!! He's an authoritarian of the worst kind through & through who worships at the altar of scientism/statism with some judeo-christianity sprinkled on top!!!

I have not watched this video. Your immature replies tell me that I do not want to waste my time with you, regardless of if the content is true or not. I'm sure I can find another source.

Pius XII 'conceding' that OT writers borrowed... It is unbelievable that the internal law of the Catholic Church still doesn't have an explicit requirement to report the sexual abuse of children to civil authorities. Unbelievable, and infuriating. Any Catholic with a shred of dignity should acknlowdedge this, push for it to change, and demand that anyone covering for such crimes, up to and including the Pope, should be sent to prison. I wonder which other religious institutions have internal laws that allow for such behaviors by their clergy. I do know that the Mormon church has covered or tried to cover its clergy on numerous occasions. I wonder which other religious institutions (like the Orthodox Churches, the various Protestant Churches in the US and elsewhere, the Jehova's Witnesses, Scientology etc) have similar provisions to cover the abuse or lack the explicit provisions that require reporting. Thank you for shedding a light on the history behind this horrible situation.
What you miss is that JP is offering an esoteric gnostic interpretation of Genesis. Because JP is an esoteric Hitelerist and neo-gnostic Satanist, after the pattern of Miguel Serrano and Aleister Crowley. JP is not an exegete, but a cryptofascist and esoteric eisegete.
@@SylvesterReport Yeah, but I think you don't capture the full connection of his various bullshit. Check out the work of Troy Parfitt and Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke. The thread connecting all of JP's insane nonsense is esoteric hitlerism. A quote from JP: "You have to admire Hitler, that's the thing: because he was an organizational genius!"
@@SylvesterReport I give you credit for picking up many of the threads, but you miss out on the overall connecting theme. Everything JP says is pointed in one direction, namely esoteric Hitlerism a la Miguel Serrano, alloyed with a sort of satanism most similar to Aleister Crowley's. This is most apparent in his earliest lectures and Maps of Meaning. Since he got mega famous, he's toned it down and now is a pretty standard conservative traditionalist, but peppered with esoteric and fascist points.
You are Incorrect, there are references from ancient times of Hebrew descendants enslaved in Egypt. You just haven’t done enough homework, pick and choose stuff parallel with your narrative. Dig a little deeper
This is a regurgitation of content proposed by others, can't even produce their own content. History tells a different tale. Maybe next time due diligence and your own work would serve you better. Plagiarism anyone?
@@SylvesterReport Again you want someone else to do your work for you. Do you ever research your own projects. Quit looking for short cuts and buckle down. Also don't stop at the first wiki you come to, true research and truth is a reward so don't expect it to be easy. The work I have been blessed with has taken 50 years of diligence. I do not speak this way to you as a attack it is a genuine hope that you will dig deep into the material and produce amazing results. Good luck and good hunting
You come out of the gate attacking me, accusing me of plagiarism, etc, and in your mind this is you being kind. Start creating your own content with your 50 years of diligence if you are so cool.
@@MrRayhobbs you asked 3 weeks ago, but I don't always check the comments. And I did answer your question. Theology, strictly defined, is a circular reasoning of the divine. So no, I study actual scholarship from historians and scriptural critics, like Ehrman (NT) or Collins (OT), or experts in other traditions.
@@MrRayhobbs you'd think, but theologians are very often constrained by their tradition. I am working on that section now, documenting how narrow-minded theologians and popes were working inside a 'dead' system and how reformers were suppressed, up until their vindication and acceptance at Vatican II.
