I own a DIESEL 4x4 Duster II: what a beast! 💪I will never exchange it with a PETROL 4x4 Duster III... The low off-road performances of the mild hybrid three cylinders petrol engine degraded the Duster into a toy 😂But... if the new 4x4 Duster III will ever have a DIESEL engine again... then I will buy it immediately!!! 💪
Does the electric motor assist in anyway in these hillclimbs? They both do a great job, Duster 3 seems to have a much better suspension. Looks less bouncy.
😅 That's hilarious! I have a 125TSI Tiguan too, was going sell it for a Touareg for the extra ground clearance and the low range transfer case, thinking it will perform better offroad. And then the Tiguan just walks up that hill with the 4Motion system going nuts, right after the Touareg failed twice. To be fair, he wasn't first up, snow's been removed. Looked like they all had fairly similar AT25 style semi offroad tires, I don't recognise EU brands but I didn't see any big name brands or anything that looked like a specialist AT or MT tire on a 16 inch rim with a ton of sidewall bagged out like it meant business. But still fair play to him, and an interesting thing to see. It's all good, I actually have a 1st generation Sorento with a 2 inch body lift and full alloy front bullbar that changes the approach angles to rockcrawler levels, that's my proper off road vehicle. But yeah I was thinking of selling my daily to upgrade to its big brother and now I don't know if I need to. Pretty impressive AWD system, really. Just a shame there's so little space in the back of the wee tiggywig.
Can you tell me please what the wading depth is? The track to my house has a ford which can get quite deep. My current Duster 2 copes fine most of the time.
I would go for Duster for the new redesihn. VITARA might be on par or slightly superior but boy design is really outdated. Most brands are going for boxy while Vitara is stuck in the 2000s
Yes, its the official Dacia side step, bought new with the car, about 4 years ago. The Dacia garage told me that I could not fit the front flaps because the side step obstructs. I would like to if possible, because presently mud builds up on the step.
1.2 clar isi face treaba gol dar 1.5 este forta, la serviciu am pus pe el portbagaj desura, remorca cu atv in spate, bagaje full 4 persoare si am urcat pana in varf de munte fara pb, 1.2 nu ar fi urcat acolo garantat!
Three days ago I bought an "old" Nissan Pathfinder R51 (2014) as I got tired to wait for reliable news about the Bigster. Its not a good sign that Dacia is still so reluctant with technical information since they planned to sell in november 2024😂. As some people know: Nisssan Quasqai and (to some extend) Pathfinder technology designs have been the base of the first Duster. Thanx god there was not too much taken from Renault. In addition your comparisons made it very clear that Dacia step by step is moveing away from "offroad".😭 My first tests showed that surprisingly the Pathfinder does much better offroad (however a heavy, heavy truck😬) and slightly worse on street. But much better than e.g. a Land Cruiser Prado.🤮
I don't understand the choice for the tce130 for the 4x4. The TCE150 also exists as a mild hybrid, and has even more torque than the standard 1.3. Hopefully for bigster?... maybe also some extra towing capacity for the bigster 4x4?
D2, without hesitation.....two advantages visible in this demo (regardless of stock versus OEM suspension): higher torque at lower rpm enabled D2 driver to keep car in more controllable steep uphill stretches (very clear in the first uphill demo), secondly, HDC is really one of the well done systems on Duster, however, D3 driver couldn't resist pressing brake pedal ocasionally, whereas D2 driver fully relied (and with good reason) on HDC....not touching break even when it might have felt needed......seems like a well experienced driver knowing his car ....again, another informative video....👌
Thank you. I do have electric hand brake. It s not ok for off-roading. Go for the manual hand brake if you can. I will make a full review of my first 4 months using the car soon 💪
@@DusterCoolTravels Thanks I’ll do In Spain Eléctric brake is into techno pack With media nav and arkamis 6 speakers audio system and induction charger This is my doubt You can’t have everything 500 euros saves for gasoline 😜
hi, there. nice information!! I got a question here. What happens when you raise or lower the temperature while in Apple CarPlay or map mode? I'm curious. Also, do I have to go back to the original system to view the climate information? I would appreciate your response.
The problem is not peak power. 130hp is a lot. but it lacks torque down low. with such a small turbo engine and a manual transmission on a hill you need to either go at least ~10-12kph to have enough rpm to spool the turbo and have enough torque, otherweise the engine will not have enough power and slow down until stalling - or you have to ride the clutch a lot to keep the revs high enough. best way is to try to take of as quickly as possible and let the clutch out once you have at least 2000rpm to avoid burning it. can be challenging but is not different to other cars with smaller petrol engines like a toyota jimny or lada niva etc.. it is much easier to do this scenario with a torque converter automatic or a bigger engine that has more power down low, but the driver also looks a bit inexperienced with the car. feels like it could do better once you have a better feeling for it despite the small engine.
The 5th HDC attempt failed most lightly due to high brake temperatures(at least that's what the system considers after a sufficient time of use). I'm wondering if you were aware that the system was not working thorough a message or you just got surprised of it disconnecting while in use.
None had 4WD did they? It's a shame the 1.5 dci ended.. There's technology out there that could bring this engine back easily and practically zero emissions on the pollution side (it could end this madness for EV that will lead us nowhere). The torque is higher for diesel so helps on control but did see a huge difference between them in fact the new look smother in several climbs
Nu mai tare decat taf ul care a trecut înaintea noastră de cateva ori pe acolo. Sa interzică offroadul cand o sa interzica si tafurile si alte utilaje de exploatare. Alea polueaza si distrug de 100 de ori mai tare .
