I make watches from Aliexpress, NH34, NH35 and NH36 watches.
I also purchase vintage watches such as Omega.
This challenge is for EDUCATIONAL purposed only. To learn how to build watches. I do not sell any watches, this is only a hobby. I do not take any sponsorships or ad sense.
I couldnt really build a dream watch, as I couldnt build a genuine rolex/ omega. I have purchased my dream vintage watch (omega seamaster cosimc) which I have posted. But when it comes to building a dream watch, from aliexpress. This is the standard.
whats the quality of the metal like? ive gotten some cheap ass watches off aliexpress to pull apart and stuff but the can feel the metal is gross quality compared to the real thing. Is that the same on these?
I have a question.🙋♂️ Have a 40mm Kermit Rolex clone , it came with a 2813 movement, for me to be able to switch to a nh35 movement, will I have to replace dial & hands? Think I’ll have to get a nh35 movement spacer to hold the movement also. Really new to this, bought a clone a couple months ago & it stops a few times a day, looses time, think it’s broken really & don’t want to go with the same 2813 or 8215 movement.. thanks brother & great video.. I might just start from scratch if it cant be replaced
@@WaveyWatches subbed bro, thanks, I’m going to start from scratch & build me one & just replace the 2813 movement on the one I already have, it is a nice clone just something wrong with the movement.. 🤘
Try make a watch with a complication e.g.chronograph. Or maybe a skeletonised watch with the NH72 movement. Seagull have some decent looking manual movements
Cool video, i made my dream watch, i got an original eta 2824 from 1971 - 1979 and a 36mm case and bracelet it cost me around £80 the movement wasn't running so it was very inexpensive, serviced the moment and fixed any problems, got a mat black dial and made my own logo too, nice lumed dauphine hands and cased it, made it in 2021 its the Pearl Diver 36 from LWC, and it keeps around -2 s/d, i try and find cool movements to use in my builds i love the fixing and servicing part and have some lovely vintage timepieces. I don't have a channel i'm terrible on camera, keep going mate.
That’s so cool. I would love to learn how to service watches one day. My goal is to restore a broken watch eventually. I wouldn’t say I’m good on camera haha, but I’ve been making RU-vid videos some way or another for 12 years
Very great video, thanks a lot man. I want to build my first custom watch from aliexpress, i also want a custom dial with my logo done. A video explaining and naming all the utensils you use would be really apprecciated. Thanks again for the video, really simple and full of information, love <3
Honestly, Im seeing more and more fakes of various rolexes on different people I meet. This is to me just as much a rip off as if it said Rolex on the face of it. The best thing that can happen from this is that it deflates the value of rolex watches.
And what is the legality of using the Seiko brand as a substitute for making a rolex replica? Isnt that just as illegal? Obviously this isnt a Seiko watch.
Great series of videos. Have you considered a ‘Rootbeer’ seiko style watch? Also, do you sell the complete watches or are they just for your own collection?
Great videos mate, really enjoying them! I've got an AliExpress cart loaded up with parts, tools etc. for my first watch. Each video I get closer to placing an order - little bit nervous as I'm not great with fiddly stuff like this but you make it look so simple. Keep up the great work, always appreciated!
The crazy thing about making homage Seikos at home is that the case and bracelet quality alone make for a better watch than Seiko provide. No folded stamped metal bracelets and clasps, no stamped and folded hollow end links, no flimsy off-centre bezels and aluminium index inserts and no improperly centred hands and you get to use a beautifully engineered case that his higher quality precision and finishing with a scratch proof genuine sapphire crystal plus you get to ensure proper greasing of the o-ring gaskets to the crown and caseback. Also you can select a window case back and buy and fit a premium automatic rotor with pearlage/Geneva striping. You get to spec out a watch that is so many levels above what Seiko have to offer on anything less than £1,000. Seiko steadfastly refuse to use Sapphire crystals at most price points and their crappy mineral crystals scratch up against most things they come into contact with, they are almost as flimsy as the old polycarbonate plastics used.
Hello, lovely built! I recently got into the hobby myself and i think your videos really help. Maybe somewhere in the future you can create some sort of vintage watch? I really like the look of those. Anyways, thanks for the video and keep it up!❤
I hate you. I just built my second watch and it took me 2 hours to get the second hand on and then I ended up bending the minute hand and had to remove it again. I don't know how you managed to do it on your first attempt.
Good video! If you are open to suggestions I would adjust the sound mix so your voice is more prominent instead of the sounds from the work bench. If you are serious about your channel, and it looks like you are, invest in a microphone pop filter and a decent cardioid microphone. Nice build and for $60 it's an incredible watch. Subscribed.
Thank you for the comment I love feedback! Thanks for the sub. I was trying to keep the noises from the workbench in. Would you advise completely removing it? The microphone I’m using is a good quality razer stand alone mic . I am going to be fixing the lighting too moving forward
Hello. The watch looks great and I’m sure your videos will come along just fine. It’s all a learning curve. I do agree with the above, your voiceover and bench tracks are competing with each other and it makes everything sound a bit cluttered and distracting. Part of the charm of these videos is how relaxing/satisfying they are, so be mindful of the sounds people would rather not hear, such as the clanging of tools etc. You could lower the bench sound considerably while you talk (raising the volume for key moments such as winding etc.) Remember there’s no need to fill every moment with voiceover, let your work do the talking. Also, don’t be afraid to take your time a bit, 10mins is actually quite short for a watch build and this one did feel like you were rushing through the work to get to the end. One final thing, you wore finger cots on your thumbs and only one index finger. My ocd was going crazy 😂 Catch you next time. Cheers!
nice, you fixed your last opload..... when are you going to pop crystals, and get dialrings in? and a fun adonn, could be a picture or video panning over your massive collection you must have now ;)
Thanks I saw your last comment ! It was an issue with the render. Yes I’m going to try and do some screen recordings. I’m not sure if music would take away from the video.
Nice, quick, simple build, takes the fear out of new builders watching this! I've done an SKX007 and a Willard, And waiting on a Seamaster and a Samuri to arive, oh and another SKX in black for my son. All from Alli and usual spend is around £60-£70 then source a strap from amazon. Have the skx on a leather strap and the willard on a nato ftrap, got a canvas/rubber one coming for the seamaster and the samuri???????????? Not sure yet, keep up the great videos, don't need perfect lighting, 4K cameras and SMR sound quality, just honest talking and good advice! Just got a crystal press £9 amazon and had a practice on some old cheap watch, going to get a bit deeper with bezels, chapter rings and glass on next months build :)
I think chapter rings is the next step for me… thank you so much for the nice comment it makes it all worth while!!! Love your builds they sound amazing.
