Yep, a set of sticks and an oil pressure gauge is the only one that worked on the dashboard! That was my first set up in a diamond Rio. Back when trucking was fine.
Always have a solid and big enough piece of metal or wood to close of your intake quickly diesels are notorious of finding fuel from somewhere like the CCV and sucking the crank dry. Another reason I don't return my engine sewage back through the intake
Thank God you knew what to do and thought fast. She was right. That was scary. Hope you didn't damage the turbo doing so. I mean the turbo seal probably went bad but hopefully it's salvageable
It's a good thing they don't make trucks like that any more. The driver would be deaf after 5 years of driving a rig like that. Although I'm sure they better mufflers on them.
