Hi there :) Come check out our beautiful world with me in style. Am in Food & Beverage, not affiliated with hotel industry, endorse no one, travel often for work. Camera shy and never much of a talking-head, that's me - bit of an introvert. Yep, I'm one of those :) And so you won't hear me as I let the pictures and the natural sounds speak for themselves - but you'll get to see me pop in here and there saying hi! The thing is: that way you'll feel as if you're on your own trip? Enjoy! xxx Alexis
Ah, good question. Nope. It's very simple: what if I'd like to get off the ship at the spur of the moment. Don't think texting the captain with that request will do haha 😅🤣😂 Spontaneity is everything to me while I'm on vacation. Welcome to my channel! 😊
Thank you Gordon! Oh my that's an insane amount of food you're obsessing about haha...Roasted sweet potato! 🍠... duck leg confit!🍗... croissant! 🥐🥐🥐🥐... cherries! 🍒 definitely!!! Good to see you 🌻
I so enjoyed seeing Paris during the holidays . I’ve only been in the spring and fall . I stayed at George V many years ago so you brought back so many memories . Thank you
Spectacular video!!! Bravo! The views are stunning and the decor is vibrant. I would appreciate a brief answer to 3 questions: 1. There are many comments about noise (street and between rooms/floors) at CV. Your experience? 2. The area is described as “not Left Bank, not Golden Triangle but merely urban street”. Thoughts? 3. Please compare CB to the incredible Le Bristol. Thank you. Well done.
Welcome to my channel, like your comment a lot 😊 Thanks for being here! I'm heading out to another trip tomorrow and figure I should get back to you now or you won't hear from me for another 12 days or so haha 1. Haven't noticed any noise coming from any direction at CB at all 2. True that - CB is not in Left Bank, but in front of - which is not a concern to me. I like the Seine views/environ as a welcomed variety of location. 3. Cheval Blanc to me is more incredible a place to stay than Le Bristol. I like LB and might return some day. But CB is more modern and with cool energy, better food too. Happy weekend!!
Wonderful renovated room in créme, white and gold. And what a relaxed decision doing all these cold colours of grey and silver in the bathroom then. And it works. 💦 🤍💛 Merci and do have another beautiful Xmas & New Year 2025! Maybe in Paris. 😘
Hi there, lovely you're popping in. I'm with you, no doubt that the soothing combo of creme/white/gold can go quite well with silver/gray here... cool and soothing mix - yet so riveting to the eyes. Evidently you have such great eyes for that! De rien and same to you...have a wonderful Xmas & New Year 2025 !! 😘🎄💛 Maybe I'll be in Paris, maybe Italy... not sure yet 💖
Great video! I have been watching your videos hoping I’d narrow down where I want to stay for my 40th in January, but now I’m just torn! 😅 Whats your favorite between the Ritz, FSGV and Cheval Blanc?
Hi Danielle! Glad you like it! Here, I'm breaking down the highlights of each hotel in hopes you'll be able to pinpoint which fulfills your needs and wants 😂: 1. Ritz: Fantastic location - exclusive, yet cozy, Place Vendome neighborhood - walking distance to Rue de Rivoli, Palais Garnier Opera House, Louvre. Luxurious lobby. Great shopping gallery. Rooms traditional, richly decorated. Service: Five-Star. Foods 7 and 1/2 2. George V: Fantastic location - Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomph within walking distance. Luxurious/grand lobby with insane floral arrangements. Rooms chic, quiet elegantly decorated - interesting/effective floor-plans. High quality furnishings. Service: Five and Half Star. Food 8 3. Cheval Blanc: Fantastic location - walking distance to Seine River, Louis Vuitton headquarters, shopping mall La Samaritaine. Posh lobby. Rooms modern, soothingly decorated. Service: Five-Star. Food: 7 Have fun picking 😊 Happy 40th!!
Thank you so much for the breakdown! You had me at 5.5 star service and an 8 for food 🙂 I booked the Four Seasons GV today! Our trip is in early January so I’m hoping I’ll still get to see some of their holiday decor. Such a tough choice though, now I’m convinced I just have to keep going back so I can experience them all 😂
I love the peaceful vibes of your videos. The atmosphere looks so restful and enjoyable! I just returned from visiting my family in the inland empire of Southern California. There are several fires in the surrounding areas and I am thankful that evacuation was not necessary where we were located. Thank God the weather is cooling down so that the firefighters can better battle the fires. I almost forgot to ask an important question: how was the lobster roll and the hazelnut sable? 😂
Aha another important/adorable question 😅! The lobster roll? decidedly yum - hazelnut sable? was both crunchy/very nutty...reminds me of this product here in the States "Coconut Caramel Granola with Prebiotics" (hand-baked by Amazin'graze...the best!!!) So glad your family is safe and sound, wishing them well!! Thank God 🙏💐 Take care, Marni!
Those desserts! The presentation! The unique dishware! The flowers! The truffle shavings! The floating island made to look like a sculpture by Rodin! It is all too much! It is all too much a feast for the eyes! PS that all mirrored bathroom in your suite is the definition of a bathroom fit for royalty!
Alexis is living that rock star life in that fabulous Parisian luxe suite and that champagne and that chauffeured car. I swear at times she positively resembles rock star Stevie Nicks and you can easily mistake her for her!
Alexis - **Piaf in our ear as you circled a celebratory Place Vendome . Almost emotional. Loved that. Exciting: *Guerlain products in your bathroom. (Don't think any of your other extraordinary stays provided that line (?)), and -- that pastry spread! One after the other after the other! When he brought out that larger, mound-like, croissant-like entity, my heart pounded. It was almost too gorgeous. Ibet it tasted like French butter heaven. The lighting in this suite a little harsher/flatter, then lighting in other rooms you've stayed in. Was there an option to dim? I remember watching other vids from you, and admiring the genius, the luxury with which they lit their rooms. This one not. Thank you as always, Alexis. Such great fun, and lovely to see you.
Aw perfect, Karen 😊 Lovely and vivid comment, I appreciate it so so much! Hope all is great with you. Ah Gerlain, the hotel already switched to an even more amazing product. On the same page with you about the lighting - I just love options! That enormous mound of flaky buttery croissant-like of a cake plus the rest of the spread were so sinful sis and I eschewed dinner all together afterward 😅 such great fun tho! Good to see you always and happy weekend!!
Hello Alexis. Verry happy to see you again ( in the mirror ) Thank you for the remenbrance of those so beautfull places and palaces. Myriam and Werner from Brussels.
Another great video! It was nice that you went with your sister and Paris looks beautiful at Christmas time. As expected, the suite at Hotel George V was opulent, but that video you did of Le Cheval Blanc really did it for me. Is Alexandre of Paris still a hair salon? Is Jeff Leatham still doing the interiors of Hotel George V? 👌
Nope, Maison Alexandre de Paris brand is not in hair salon business - the Parisian shops sell collections of hair accessories handcrafted in their own workshops. Jeff Leatham? based on the familiar/dramatic style of the grand lobby installations I believe he still reigns supreme there 🤩 We sure had a blast - sis and I - it was awesome time to be in Paris ✨ Glad you love Cheval Blanc...me too!
Glad to see you already did get a chance to try the new FSGV room product--beautiful suite! I do miss the chandeliers on the 8th floor, but I think they more than made up for it with the abundance of flowers placed in the room! I'm not sure I've ever seen so many arrangements in one suite :) Makes me excited to return in December!!!
Glad you like the suite. Agree, I already miss the chandeliers - they were so beautiful. Aah, the plethora of white roses - not sure why GV decided to be quite generous with them this time. You bet I was touched. Take care 😊
😊GREAT DETAIL TOUR MS. LEXY! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL, THIS ONE IS LOVELY CAUSE YOU CAME IN WHILE IT WAS RAINING, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS CAPTIVATING. SEEING THOSE PEOPLE WITH UMBRELLAS AND THOSE HISTORICAL BUILDINGS WAS LIKE A LIVE PORTRAIT, NOT TO MENTION YOUR DETAILED TOUR INSIDE THE HOTEL, I JUST LOVE IT, THANK YOU SO MUCH😊.
Aww this is so very sweet. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Welcome to my channel, Ms Judy! 💖 I'm glad that you found my channel and come here to escape 😊 You're a gem. Cheers!!
@@richardclowes7428 Oh la la haven't tried that...a light lunch in La Galerie sounds like fun. Will do next time. Did dinners at Le Bon George. Thanks, Richard 😎
I was craving another one of your videos! The attention to detail is what sets Parisian hotels apart from the rest. Simply stunning! Merci! from Boston 🎉
Hello Maureen, it's been a while 😊! Oh I love that you always say the most sensible thing. And those details are tasteful, too, you implied. Anytime! from Cali 🎊
Thanks Alexis for another video. The food looks lovely. Have they used real sterling silver you think? And the French commode demi lune: are they real 18th century or beautiful copies? Christmas at George V is absolute top. Thanks again❤😊
You bet. Agree, Xmas at the hotel is flat-out absolute top ❣ Anyway, I really don't know if the commode is authentic or not - more likely not. Now I'm curious about the utensils so next time I will ask the staff for you haha 😊 Welcome to my channel!
Renovated to perfection... 👌 King George wants his crown back! Hard fight, difficult to say... Luckily you are there to enjoy and keep us updated about the finest of Parisian Palaces. Thanks for all your efforts, Beloved Alexis. Love all your videos! ❤😻💘👍👑
Funny haha King George now wants his crown back... I don't blame him 😆 Speaking of the finest of them all, you could even detect the new suite smell (as in new car smell) It's all very exciting!! And you're welcome 🧡💚💜🌴
So luxurious! Love the décor color scheme, the Christmas decorations, and so many white roses in your suite! A dusting of snow to add to the magical ambience. The tea was so elegant -- was it as delicious as it was beautiful? And an entire boutique of hair accessories! I'm a fan too and have Edith Piaf's "La Vie en Rose" as my cell phone ring tone!
So glad you like the video🌸 Yes, tea was absolutely delish as it was beautiful. Love how you describe the experience...charming and enchanting just the way it was. The amazing Edith Piaf? I have to thank my gram for her good sense haha! You sure got great taste in music, too 😊 Welcome to my channel!
Agree with you that the Ritz deluxe suite is bigger - though George V is definitely more elegant. Also, this room layout is perfect for me as the bedroom is tucked away, separate from the living room by a hallway...hence more private/cozier. You're right, this room has pretty calming colors 😊
@MAGABeard Good question. Actually, I'd like to spend more time in the room if I could - don't forget I have to work - being a bit of an introvert myself haha... Welcome to my channel 😊
@@alexisluxurytravels1I for one adore your videos. I am glad that you travel thousands of miles to spend time in exquisite hotel rooms/suites around the world because I get to travel in style and elegance, vicariously through you! x
Elegance by rubbing two pieces of toast together. The lobster rolls looked yummy.😋 I love your vlogs. They are classy yet filled with many different flavors. My favorite this time are the pave’ rose bouquets everywhere you look. Happy to see your work again - was so excited when I saw you in my feed. 🇺🇸💙💙🙏🏻🕊🪷🕊🕉✝️
Awww thank you, that's so sweet...I appreciate it! 💜💚You sure have great eyes, too 🌟 . True that, an amazing stay 💃💃💚🕊💖 The hotel is known for having a great sense of style - once in a while even quirkiness? So rubbing two pieces of toast together would require a white-glove service here haha! Cheers!!
