what’s the measurements of recipes
@Skelldr
@Skelldr 5 месяцев назад
Wash, rub, rinse and drain the rice very well. Add rice into the instant pot and add water. The best ratio is 1:1. For example, 3 cups of rice needs 3 cups of water. Make sure to level off the rice and all cover by water. Push the manual button and adjust time for 6 minutes at high pressure and natural release pressure.

CAN RED WINE VINEGAR BE USED AS WELL?
@ohmyfoodrecipes

Add a little bit to your taste. I am not sure the taste of red wine vinegar compare to the regular vinegar.

how long will i soak the mustard greens?
@ohmyfoodrecipes
@ohmyfoodrecipes 6 месяцев назад
It depends if you like it salty or less salty. I usually soak for 15 -30 minutes. The longer you soak it, it becomes less salty.

I just made this with 5 eggplants and 1.5 lbs of pork. I scaled up the ingredients and also added 2 tbsp cooking wine, and 2 tbsp Doubanjiang (chili bean paste). I just dumped the starch in as a powder and it worked fine. Recommend lower sodium soy sauce because I feel very thirsty after eating this.

I’ve never seen paprika used before
@ohmyfoodrecipes
@ohmyfoodrecipes Год назад
I use paprika for color. People usually use chili powder. I try to make it mild and still look attractive. Therefore, I used paprika because it is not spicy, but enriches the redness.

The is NOT real S&S sauce.. this is American version,.. the real version has Oranges and Star anise and NO PINEAPPLE!!! NOT AUTHENTIC CHINESE!!! one other thing, they also DO NOT USE KETCHUP... they use food coloring.. 2 maybe 3 drops depends on amount of sauce...
@Lily-ng4jx
@Lily-ng4jx Год назад
id think ketchup would be better since food colouring doesnt add taste but only colour, id also like to say i tried the s&s pasta with chicken in an asian restruant before and it tasted like they used ketchup but not pineapple juice!
@zsavage1820
@zsavage1820 Год назад
@@Lily-ng4jx I"m in Michigan.. when I go to a Chinese restaurant and see actual Chinese people eating there... that is a good sign, tells me it's good none of them use Ketchup , just the food coloring.. ketchup, in my opinion kinda ruins the flavor for me. and to be honest .. REAL S&S sauce doesn't have pineapple in it.. .that is an American thing.. The real ones that I have seen use Orange, star anise and some other spices.. when I make it at home.. I have to admit I use Pineapple but NO ketchup much better taste .. but that's just me...

Serve that in China and you'll be deported. The pieces of eggplant are far too big. We wouldn't use oyster sauce, either. Sesame oil is only ever added after the dish is cooked. It is a condiment oil, not a frying oil. It is valued for its aroma and flavor, both of which are highly volatile and disappear in seconds if heated.
@ohmyfoodrecipes
@ohmyfoodrecipes 2 года назад
Thank you for your comment. First of all, Cantonese people will add oyster sauce for this dish. If you don't, that's ok. Secondly, sesame oil is generally used as a condiment and added to it after cooking. And, most of the people will do that because of the aroma and fragrance. However, in some recipes like Taiwanese sesame oil chicken and noodles. People will stir fry sesame oil with the chicken and heat up. But, it is recommended to heat up at a low temperature. Also, depending on what and which brand of sesame oil. The one I used is ok to heat up a little bit. If you are worried about adding sesame oil while cooking. I suggest you either not add it or add it after cooking.
