I think it was early summer 93 we were kindly allowed to use this base to test a tiny single seat fuel efficiency car - by the gate there were some 20 odd young military lads in boiler suits made to stand to attention - when we left at the end of the afternoon they were still there - apparently they had got in a fight in the local village bar busting it up and this was their punishment - odd ecentric base comander he had a kind of kids scooter with a put put engine on and cane - folk soluted him has he wizzed about showing us where we could test the car. Happy days
Great news of how, by broadening out and sharing the notion of symptoms and holistic diagnoses, we could explore physical, emotional and public health in a more inter-disciplinary way. Isn't it about time all of us, not just professionals, began to think about common ground which belongs to us all. Community development principles of devolving authority, peer relationships, pro-active networking, grass-roots upwards structures et al could, if we wished, make it happen..
