I still get intimidated about creating(haven't even started the first two books) so I watch what others are doing to get inspiration from. So that brought me here after watching Cassie's video. I love your cat painting. Its so cute and I'm partial to cats too. (Mine is sleeping on me while watching this. His name is amethyst cuz cats are calming)
I agree, It’s very intimidating to start. I think I’m going to make another video about the easiest prompts for beginners. I’m grateful that I got help from Cassie for my first two prompts. Also cat cuddles are the best. 😻
Hi Courageous Painting, an update on my Wooden Spoon Santa's. Well they are in the Trash as of Yesterday evening, I was working on my Tiger with my Gold paint & I thought I have not decided what to do with them. So after picking them up of my pallet to which they were Stuck too, I thought curious it's never done that before. So I pulled at the lose piece on the back & it came right away & when handling it was squishy. I only need 4 but they were all the same & I pulled once right back to the Wood & the paint was very squishy & odd smell. So I thought how can I give this as a gift for Christmas, So in the Trash they went. I've not decided what to replace them with, but I wonder what to do with my New Tube of this White paint, I can't return it as I have no Receipt 🧾. But the other thing is I think my brother has moved it & I have no clue where too. 😞🤢
I’m sorry to hear that. 😞 It’s hard to stay motivated when projects go badly. Sometimes it about the experience, but I understand it’s disappointing. 😞
Red and green are such a great contrast while pink and green compliment eachother very well. She really picked the best xolor combination for you to work with !
Heh, heh, I like the swatch peacock. I've never seen a swatch turned into something. The splatter art is dreamy and ethereal. Bold colors in the unicorn girl one! =)
Aw, I love the sleeping dreaming kitty in plants. Unrelated: that color palette makes me think of candy for some reason. I love what you did with her store! It would be so cool to have a physical store that's a small business (I love shopping at my local Michaels--the only craft store in town-- but I'm well aware it's a mega company that may or may not care about customers and workers). You could pet a kitty and talk about art with someone who clearly loves it. =)

Wow! I LOVE the way your art turned out! The bubble lion was such a unique idea, and the execution was amazing! I don't know how you had the patience for pointillism, but it turned out great!
The spill painting looks so good and the portrait is beautiful 😍 I'm always curious about Meeden supplies. I don't have any of their paints, but have been tempted to try certain paints and I've also looked at their brushes too. I actually love their other ranges too, like the ceramic and wooden artist tools 🙂 How are the paints compared with Mont Marte? I have used that paint a lot, so I know the pros and cons.
Thank you! I’m glad you like them. If I had to choose between the two I’d go with Mont Marte acrylic paint. I forgot to show it in the video, but Meeden is a bit too glossy for me. Monte Marte is Matte. I think it’s easier to judge color when working with acrylic paint that has a matte finish to it. I’ve also found that acrylic paint with a gloss finish has an odd smell to it and it bothers me… I loved the Meeden brushes, but I was a little disappointed that two were damaged in shipping. They also didn’t send me their fine detail brushes, but I’d like to try them. So far my Artify brushes are still my favorite. One awesome thing about Meeden though is that they have a HUGE selection of easels. They also have a couple of wooden art storage units. If I work with them in the future I’m going to ask about testing some easels because they niiiiice.
Hi WOW they were all amazing, I have got 17 quick sketches done Yesterday & the Day Before, as they were helping me with new Christmas Gifts that I'm doing. I've Now Got 42 to make & I have 3 being worked on, thanks to my Sketches. Thank you
@@CourageousPainting Hi Thank you sorry for the late reply, I was doing a Duckling wearing a Red Hat & I already did one in a different hat too. The first took me from 9.30 pm till about 9.40pm this on took from then Till 10.12. 😊

Thank you! Absolutely! I think the smell is really important to consider when you're working with paint. I get a sinus trigged migraine about once a month if I'm not careful. It can be rough.
