For regret items, we have a thrift store specifically for used art supplies, I would suggest find one and I know someone would love to use. Art supplies are expensive, it will help those who want to explore other mediums. It will give you more space to create and it's sustainable.

I actually liked the jelly gouache. Its what brought me back from my multiyear art break. The one thing I don't like about it is its messy to originally open. I hate peeling the foil off. You can indeed get replacement colors. Miya himi itself sells bags of colors and aliexpress has individual square pots. I just kind of feel like I outgrew the jelly paint. My interests went elsewhere.

Shiny things suck for content creation, I feel your pain. I have a benchtop with sparkles and it looks great in real life but it reflects all kinds of light and makes it really hard to capture consistent video.

Christine…you have such a dynamic personality! I loved watching this and I just don’t understand why you don’t get more views! Btw….I’ll take ALL your markers! 😂 I love markers….especially the metallic ones! I have a bunch of sketch books that mock me too…😆 I have a couple of sketches in the beginning…and then nothing! It IS a problem! I’m better with my sketch planner. At least it’s multifunctional and I can just use it as a planner when I give up on sketching!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Awwww thank you Chrissa. I'll have to find a way to be in more of my videos. I have a lot of fun when I'm infront of the camera. ALL of my sketchbooks only have sketches in the beginning. I think I ended up ripping the sketches out of the ones in this video and putting them in a folder. 😂

I have a whole shelf full of empty sketchbooks that I bought on clearance and then never used them, so I feel your pain on that one. One day I'll use them. One day... And I'm glad you talked about the Arteza paints. I had been thinking about trying that brand for awhile, but if they are that shiny I wouldn't like them. That first painting you showed off of the cloudy sky was just GORGEOUS though! But the paint palettes! I have a small one that is great, but I hate cleaning it, so I use paper plates now as my palettes. I absolutely cracked up when you pulled out that stack of new ones. 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for such an amazing comment. I’m glad you found this video helpful. ❤️🥰 Oh my gosh! Paper plates seem like the perfect solution for me. I’ve thought about testing disposable paint palettes but I think paper plates are more cost effective. Thank you!

@@CourageousPainting I totally recommend trying the paper plates, it's the best thing I've tried so far and I think they're about half the price of the disposable pallets if you buy in bulk. I'd get the ones that have a smooth coating on them. That's what I use and they hold up really well, even when I'm doing a ton of mixing with palette knives.

Soooo glad you made this. I have the Himi gouache 56 color set and I have the Arteza acrylics AND gouache! It’s just wasted money. 💜

Put the first lid on, then put the whole thing in a snap lock bag THEN click the top lid on… my jelly gouache is still good 2.5 years later, no water or glycerin used

I think the lesson here is that cheep supplies are rubbish! It’s worth spending a bit more money to buy nice, quality supplies that you enjoy using.

They were Master’s Touch from Jerry’s Artatama. Honestly, I’d try them again. 😂

you should. oil painting is great. it has the best qualities of acrylics, but longer open time and better mixing, so you can work it more. pebeo makes some decent affordable oil paints in a number of sets. they are excellent for experimenting with as they are great quality paints at a reasonable price@@CourageousPainting
