I’m from Uttarakhand state in India ( Himalayan state ) I’m kumaoni and these like the culture practices are a lot similar to us . To be honest more simlilar to Himachal and Uttarakhand both . If you talk about relating their dress is very similar to ( the one they wore in the head going backwards ) kinnauri. Even though Kinnauris got Buddhist elements mixed but it’s too much similar to the cultures of Himachal and Uttarakhand of India
On the other hand. These people have little to nothing but seem more at peace than us westerners. Our TVs, phones and video games do not seem to make us happier and our poisoned food and constant bombardment of electromagnetic radiation definitely is not a help. Watching endless crime, rudeness and cruelty is definitely not good for us psychologically.
But on the other hand, you have these religions telling people not to use birth control. They end up having 7+ kids when they can't even afford one. All over the world you have this type of thing going on.

It was an unprecedented accident and due to the political system at that time-even Gorbatchov wasn’t told the real radiation numbers-all the robots that were buildt for the cleanup were constructed to withstand the false,much lower rates! Had they told the truth the West would have been able to provide robots that could operate at significant higher levels! I always knew the number of fatalities due to radiation must have been much higher! It really moved me to see the sons and daughters of the liquidators exploring their origins-it is their home territory where they would have lived,they saw their parents suffering from hardship and serious health problems and had to cope with seeing them deteriorating and dying much too early! I admire all liquidators that litteraly sacrificed their lives for our future - and i mean whole Europe was in danger to end as an exclusion zone! Your parents worked hard and allowed our populations to prosper and live a decent lifestyle-I will always honor them deeply and have the greatest respect for their strength! I want to go to the zone for two decades and now plan to go there in spring 2026 for the 40th anniversary. Your parents are the true heros! Everyone of them

They only get $7 dollars per stage? There are like 9 stages? That is not a lot of money! Therse Mountainers that pay permits of $15,000 dollars to the government and then pay additionally anywhere from $30,000 to 100,000 to the climbing "adventure companies" should also be tipping these sherpa's at the end of the trek!! Each mountaineer should be contributing at least $2000 dollars or more to a pot of money! Then this pot should be split up amongst all those sherpa's according to how many "stages" they have worked and if they performed rescue work too! This should be their bonus pay!! IN addition to base pay of 100 dollars a day! Good Grief! There should not be any shirking to pay the sherpa's. Does not matter if they are guides or porters, 95 percent of them live beneath the poverty line, now I know why. For shame!

Complete bull shit, knowing many of the women, they were paid by greedy lawyers to make outrageous claims. The same law firm closed down for making false claims against British soldiers in Iraq torturing locals.
