Fun fact with cats Gavin: they don't have collarbones so if they can fit their head through something, their whole body can fir as well. I know you were wondering how Ash got in the box.
I cannot WAIT to watch this, so happy for you Gav!!! Popping back in and definitely sell those special editions, the only reason I still have Facebook is the buy/swap/sell for special editions 😂
I'm so excited for you! There's something so cathartic about doing a deep clean and unhaul of your space and things. Cannot wait to see the set up of your new space!
If you’re getting rid of the ARC of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder I’d happily take it off your hands and pay for postage! Think I’m going to be filming my own big unhaul this weekend and it’s safe to say you’ve definitely motivated me! I use Vinted and I absolutely love it. It’s so stress free compared to most platforms and if you post about books you’re selling on stories you’re bound to get people buying them😄 (I’d probably buy a few👀)
Iirc, Patrick Rothfuss did release another book in the series last year. And it was another novella. Still haven't read book 2 myself. But between mixed reviews and huge book with no, library, audiobook available, it's hard to motivate myself.
When you were talking about hoping you don't mix the boxes and u hauling what you want to keep it reminded of me when I threw away a bag of clothes last time I moved cause I ran out of boxes and just used trash bags to pack clothes. 😂
Gavin, What about donating some of the books to a kids hospital if they'll take them? You have some lovely stuff there that could possibly bring some big joy to some kids that need it ❤
Ash!!! Don’t get accidentally unhauled! 😂😍 they’re so cute! Can’t wait for the moving videos and setting up the new place! It sounds like an improvement and I’m so happy for you! ❤
I am so proud of you!!! I have only my unread books still out for until the move and this video made me want to take a serious look at whether I actually want to keep them all. Also you pretty much explained my problem with book subscriptions like fairyloot, I get the impression that they go unread most times
Not me watching Gavin unhaul some of my favourite books...I may have dropped my coffee. But it was very interesting to see how different people have different opinions and dislikes. And I really liked how you said that it was okay not to be interested in something anymore, it made me feel better about my recent unhaul, so thank you Gavin.
The Bone Witch trilogy is really the only one you unhauled that was mildly painful for me. I loved them so much when I read them from the library, I bought the physical copies to keep. The rest of your unhaul was soooo cathartic to watch lol
Can you do another Agatha Christie again on your RU-vid channel love and your slice of life vlogs gives me life thank you for making me smile and laugh 😃
I know most Tesco stores have free libraries where you could drop the arcs off. This was so therapeutic to watch. I need to do a big unhaul and this gave me the inspiration
Moving stresses me out so much, I’ve never added unhauling books into the mix. Love that so many people find peace in letting go, but for me it’s a struggle. Plus, my husband and I are both readers as are our two kids, so even if I didn’t care for a book, I hesitate to get rid of it in case another reader in the house might like it better than me. I probably should take a more critical look at my shelves some time in the near future, but I just find comfort in being surrounded by books. Best of luck with all of the moving nonsense Gavin! This next month is going to be a crazy blur, but it will all be worth it with your boys in your new place. Thanks for taking us all along for the ride.
I’ve seen lots of RU-vidrs list their books on Vinted and share the link on Instagram and they sell super quick as I’ve gone on to look then gone back and most have sold esp the special edition ones!
And for that other side that may tell you "But what if I suddenly have the urge to read it in the future?" (for those who would be like Unhauling books is hard). You can check out all those books out from the Library. I've been actually really enjoying being able to check out books from the libarary without the need to committing to keeping the book. It also gives room for books you want to reread in the future if you do end up enjoying a book you've read. I'm going to try to read the House of Salt and Sorrow myself but I'm checking it out of the libarary because I'm realizing that I have a lot on my tbr on Storygraph *and* a I'm getting up there in my kindle where it's getting a bit overwhelming. So after the buddy read that I'm doing now and the one personal book, I'm going to keep reading books I already own on kindle before I go for more libary books unless my buddy read people decide to continue the Duskwalker Brides series, then I'll be going into that (The audiobook have been extreamly helpful in keeping me up and focus on stuff for now.)
THE SQUEEL I SQUEELED when you said kingdom of the wicked and kingdom of the cursed. I am so happy with that decision😂😂😂😂 don’t even donate it. You shouldn’t do that to someone else (except maybe Florence🤷🏻♀️😂)
