The first two Deadpool movies felt more like serious attempts at a story at least, with SNL schtick and memes woven into it; Deadpool and Wolverine felt like it just went scene to scene of SNL skits, with a few serious moments inserted into it. It was okay but it was just... too much memes. And I know even the movie itself was ripping on the whole "multiverse" shyte, but I absolutely can't stand this Loki "multiverse" crap, there's all these versions of characters that this isn't even the real Wolverine, so there's just no stakes at all. There's all these versions of different characters thrown in as cameos, but if they live or die, nothing really feels like it matters. Even the end it didn't even really matter if they died in that reactor or not, just my take after just watching it with my wife a bit ago. I'd give the first Deadpool movie a 9/10, second one 8/10, this one I'd give a 5/10 it was pretty overbloated with gags and no plot and entirely forgettable after all done. Spoiler: I just remember that entire scene of them fighting and killing all the deadpools.. seemed random as hell but it was cool seeing, but just to have them all come back together, then his friend ad hoc comes out of nowhere and shows up and they carry him away 'cause he's "apparently a hero in all universes"... um.. ok? So the entire battle was pointless basically, and that sums up so much of the story, just 30 min scene after 30 min scene where stuff happens, but no real point, something about saving their timeline but doesn't even matter, even this "Professor X evil twin" chick who's randomly bald too (that's weird)... whether she died or not literally didn't matter, she has some God power never truly explained but you don't even care when she'd dead.
One of the best tv moments ever … especially at that time in the 90s we saw so many movies with that slowed down moment and the ball goes in. Watching Carlton’s air ball was genius comedic timing.
If you go on the photoshop request subreddit someone would do this for you in like 5 minutes for a cup of coffee. Just fyi, next time you’re struggling with photoshop
Mac & Gu is the best podcast in the world. I like how you bring us friendship and have been doing so for years and years and years. Keep doing what you do. The format is perfect, enjoyable and funny.
This was very fun to watch! Keep up the good work! I just subscribed! Your videos already have great quality and they can only get better! I know you’ll get a huge following quickly, and I’m glad I got to be here before it happens. Do you have a discord server by any chance?
I had to unsub because of the guy doing the radio host thing. Its to cringe for me to watch and reminds me of keemstar. Also its like he's trying to do like a radio guy from then 90's voice which without the sound effects and news dump thing would be okay I guess. Really stop doing that.
Mac & Gu is the best podcast in the Boston area and possibly the world. They bring you enjoyable banter, witty jokes, and insightful analysis of movies, TV and the rest. Nice to have a great deal of positivity.
He just turned 35 and called himself old my God my eldest son is 33 and I think of that as a kid and I don’t think of myself that old in my mid 50s do enjoy these knuckleheads so I’ll let it be
Mac & Gu is the best podcast in the DSG. Second is TLDR, third is #Dork. M&G bring you friendship and light-hearted funny banter. TLDR brings you hot comic book content, writers and artists. #Dork is still pretty good.
Mac & Gu has emerged as the best podcast in the DSG. I think a lot of people are tired of all the negativity on the #Dork podcast due to Davey becoming a bitter old shaking his fist at imagined entertainers insulting his “intelligence”. On the other hand, Mac & Gu are optimistic gentlemen, and even when they don’t like a movie they still try and see the good in it.
storms voice has been pretty good that episode where she lost her powers the voice was great. i feel like gambits accent is like kinda corny it sounds like someone putting on an accent…
Do a curb episode, total series recap. Best seasons, funniest moments, best characters. I know Mac broke it down quickly 5 years ago but 40 minutes on it would be gold
I admire Dev Patel’s passion behind the camera and emotionally charged performance in front of the camera. The action was fun at times but a little shaky and choppy more often than I would’ve wanted. The movie also dragged a lot for me in the middle. I liked it and enjoyed my time, but I think it is being a little overhyped. Thats just me though. Great review, fellas
16:08 I agree with Gu and disagree with Mac, with all due respect. I don’t think yall should hate on stuff just to hate it. If something is just fine then call it that way. Don't need to have hot takes just for the sake of it.
Please bring back Fashion Mac! It was hilarious when you used to play that sounder any time Mac said anything about costumes or movie wardrobe. Great pod overall keep it comin!
Love this podcast. These guys are super positive even when they’re discussing a movie or show they didn’t like. In some podcasts in the DSG the hosts just scream about how much they hate stuff. In particular the cohost of that other podcast. Mac & Gu is emerging as the most fun and funny show.
