I’m not sure. Could be something to do with brakes or suspension. I know with disc brakes, sometimes the rotors get warped and can cause the car the shake while braking. Do you have drum brakes or disc brakes?
😂 I understand, but for me the driving experience makes up for all the repairs and cost that comes with it. The AC compressor was probably the hardest thing for me to replace. This was also my first time replacing an AC compressor.
I want to do it myself but I don't know if I can, I have a 2.0D Diesel so it's a bit different from your T5 also, I'm barely 19 and my dad doesn't trust himself working on cars, but it could save us a shitload of money as a new filter is between €5 and €10, we might need some new tools tho
Yes. It worked. After putting everything back together I went to an auto mechanic to have them put the freon back in the car since I didn’t have the equipment/tools to do it myself.
I don’t know the name of that part. I don’t think you can buy it from a dealer. I did find out that they do sell these on AliBaba /Ali Express site. I would recommend checking there. I got mine from a junk yard.

Most common problem for a shaking steering wheel is when the tyres are unbalanced.It's looking normal to me.If it's knoking(I am not good at englis so idk if I say it right) it's a problem,but you can move a new one like this.
I agree. I had the tires balanced after I replaced the control arm, and the vibration/shaking has gone away. I replace the control arm also since it was very loose on that side.
Mine is under the hood, how do i stop the washer fluid leaking all over the inside of the car/engine area? I need to replace the pump but dont want all the fluid to damage any other parts?
I’ve actually ended up replacing both headlights that I found on Facebook Marketplace. I got both for $500, so I couldn’t pass up on that deal, since one used headlight is about $500 or so. Otherwise, I would have attempted to fix the wiring. Since most of those wires inside the headlight housing have been stripped from heat, my idea was to cover all those bare wires with shrink tubing. I think that would probably fix the issue that I had with the headlight not working.
The motor shaking as you accelerate might be the bowden tube. I had that issue with mine. When the engine connects with the clutch it rotates the clutch slightly. If theres not enough slack in the bowden tube the rotation pulls on the clutch cable. This disconects the clutch so it rotates back and reconnects. It goes back and for super fast rattling the whole car. The fix is easy. Disconnect the clutch cable at the clutch and put a washer or two on the end of the bowden tube.
Mine just stopped working but before I try changing the pump I wanted to ask if it's normal for the windshield wipers to stop as well when I activate the cleaning? I mean my windshield wipers work normally if I turn them on but just doesn't work when I try to do the spray and wipe process

Odd the Honda diagram shows the 74871 (R) installing the opposite of how you did it. That is, it hooks on the right passenger and then driver side its put into that torsion clip using pliers or vice grips

I just installed one on my 69 and all the years i have done this kind of work i forgot to bench bleed and spent hours bleeding the lines cant believe i forgot to bench bleed
This was my first time doing it, and it turned out great. I’ve heard some say that it’s not necessary, but I’d rather spend a little extra time and effort and not having to worry about it later.
I’m glad to hear that you found this video helpful. In my case, the reason why I had that vibration (shaking) in the front was due to bad control arm bushings. Once I replaced those that shimmy shake / vibration was gone. I made a video about that as well on how I replaced the control arm bushings.
@carkingspot3973 We are told today that we need to change the steering damper, the tie rod, and control arm bushings because it seems like it has never been changed since 71
It looks like the original parts lasted for a pretty long time. I did notice a firmer ride once I replaced the steering damper. It’s a good thing to replace all those parts at once if they haven’t been replaced in such a long time. I ended up replacing the damper, control arm bushings and ball joints. It feels like new now. 🙂
I ordered these parts and installed the springs, but the trunk still falls down without offering any resistance. I am not sure where installation went wrong. Parts that I ordered for 2012: Honda Clip Trunk Opener Spring 74873-TA0-003 SPRING, L. TRUNK OPENER 74872-TA0-G00 SPRING, R. TRUNK OPENER 74871-TA0-G00 What does it costs to get this fixed by Honda service center ?
I’m not really what could be the problem. I would recommend looking over to see if everything was installed correctly. Maybe the torsion bars you purchased have a defect. I’ve replaced those bars twice on the same car, and each time the result was a little different. The second time I replaced them it doesn’t hold up the trunk as well as when I replaced them the first time. Maybe you can exchange those bars for a new set and see if it makes any difference. I hope you get it fixed. Best!
I believe it’s shown in the video. I have purchased that one from Amazon ( a.co/d/hXsgulr). I wasn’t able to press out the metal outer part of the bushing with that tool, so I had a local auto repair shop do it for me. That bushing press kit worked great when putting in the bushings.
