This looks like rehearsal. In the live broadcast they have a camera on Al for his reaction, and the second ukulele rolls onto the stage and the prop man appears briefly for a second on camera grabbing it.
I live that we can see Al Toker absolutely enjoying the show in the background - so much in fact, that at some point he seems to make his way to the front side of the stage so that he can watch it properly.

He isn't there the entire song, so I think the part where he goes offstage is just when they don't need all the dancers for the choreography in that moment
It might be so they have an even amount of dancers, because you see them pair up as he's offstage, and in the actual choreography of the musical someone gets taken off the stage by the sandworm, so they probably just don't have anything for that guy to do until they all line up at the end of the song
MusicFeedsYourSoul in the actual show one of the ensemble members gets taken off stage because of the giant sand worm in this number so I’m thinking that’s why one of the ensemble members goes off stage in this performance I could be complete wrong though cause the song was changed a bit for this performance
the amount that flooring moves kinda gives me anxiety, like seriously. Even when he's stood still you can see him kinda correct for it, it's maybe why he doesn't stand on the coffin like usual. I know I notice weird stuff but now I can't unsee it help.
ok so i couldn't find the real recording but im glad someone else recorded it BTS and i get to listen to it, i was looking for this one specifically because he switches it up a bit for the different preformances he does
