my friend has three tarantulas and said one was digging in the dirt for their terrarium and I thought of this video so I had to come and find it to send to her.
We watched funny 0:45 long videos before Tiktok came along and ruined our attention spans? Yeah, really War & Peace in comparison for sure. Is this a new like farming meta comment - akin to "which legends are listening to this in 2024?"?
@@ChadMichaelSimon Friend, you posted this video 13 years ago and you're still replying to comments? I'm subscribing for that reason alone; your humor is just a bonus! (Also, congrats on the novel! I haven't read it yet, but it's now on my list!)
@@jordanbyrd9821 Sir, you are under suspicion for being a spider on the internet, and I am someone who may possibly know it. Any human would recognize this spider failed to bury himself in the sand at least twice.
@@KutWrite It’s here on my channel. I spent a lot of time over the years fighting that fight, and RU-vid is good at removing copies. It took too much time and effort, especially after they changed their revenue structure. And it’s the internet - I can’t police every copy out there, but I appreciate your vigilance!
@@ChadMichaelSimon Hi I found it. It still had my original thumb-up vote. I down-voted the copy I originally had shared and replaced yours on my FB comment. Good work!
My friend sent this to me about a decade ago and sometimes we still share it. She's just had a horrible time of it, so I sent it to her again and I'm so happy to know that it's helped her! ❤️🕷️❤️
I used to be terrified of spiders and then I went to a Christian camp in Rose Bud Arkansas and the guy had a Mexican red knee as a teaching tool and we all got a good laugh cuz she pooped on his head and then after he got done he said is anybody want to touch the spider and I was terrified but I let him put it on me and it walked up on my shoulders and was like flexing its pedipalps and I was like oh you're not scary you're really cool I used to have a pet vinegaroon
they actually have to learn how to re-hide after they molt because when their exoskeleton is still soft, they feel the weight of the sand particles differently. its really funny & i assume thats whats going on here
I watched this videos years ago when it came out. I was a kid, and horrified of spiders, but this humanized them for me..Now I've had a Jumping Spider, and a Tarantula as a pet, and try really hard not to kill any spider anymore. <3
I love stories like yours, ER. Curing arachnophobia has been an amazing ing side effect of making this video. People like you take further and embrace the little things. What is your tarantula’s name? :-)
Same dude! I decided after i finally had my own home and space that i wasnt going to punish and kill things just for being small and scary. I found that most bugs and spiders are genuinely just not interested in being inside and are terrified of us. Jumping spiders are my favorite and i discovered that the tiny fiddler crabs have the same sort of personality that jumping spiders do and ive really expanded my identification of arachnids, insects, and snakes in general!
@@ChadMichaelSimon I actually named him Beetlejuice. 😆 He's got black, and white striped legs, and eats beetles so it was funny to me! Also I just got really into the musical. 😅 Loki was my Royal Junping Spider, the males are black and white with the shiniest metallic emerald green pedipalps.
