@@animelover3083 It's my first published novel, yes. I've worked on several over the years. Yellowstone started as two books that I combined into one story. In dedicated writing and revising, it took about three years. But the original sketches (initially intended as an idea for a comic strip about three kids and a bear), were from 1995!

Fun fact: this is how young children actually think, it's not just a cute little joke. In psychology, there's this thing called 'theory of mind'. If you don't have that, then you can't really know what other people know or are thinking, even if it's really obvious. The way to test whether or not children have developed a theory of mind yet is the following task: "Kyle has a piece of chocolate, but he doesn't want to eat it right now, so he hides it under his pillow and goes out to play. While he is outside, his mother comes in, sees the chocolate and puts it in the fridge. When Kyle comes back hungry for chocolate, where will he look for it?" (By the way, it doesn't have to be this, specifically. It can be two random people with a random object hidden in two random places, so if you ever read about this, it's probably gonna be a different story than the one I came up with.) anyway, We don't even have to think about the answer, but children who don't have theory of mind yet will say that Kyle would look for the chocolate in the fridge, because in their mind "why wouldn't he know what I know?'' This is the reason why playing hide-and-seek isn't gonna be very challenging with very young children, and it's also the reason they're very bad at lying, because in order to even think of lying to another person, you would have to know that that person knows less than you do, which again, requires theory of mind.

This is a six eyed sand spider, they bury themselves like this to ambush their prey (obvious I know) but heres the interesting part, these guys are among the most dangerously venomous spiders in the world yet the least dangerous in terms of aggression, there has never been a case of a six eyed sand spider biting someone they literally have no interest. You could poke one in the face for an hour and it wouldnt even move

I get to hear stories of nostalgia, of grandmothers scratching their grandkids' backs with a scratch-scratch-scratch, people coming back to it year after year.
