Do you know of a similar non-destructive way to rekey the clear acrylic tubular lock that is often sold adjacent to this padlock? the lock body is held together with one pin but I can't think of a non-destructive way of removing that pin.
THANK YOU this has been one of the best tutorial videos on using the Lishi Cutter Now I've got to get a set of those PROXLOCK cutting guides. And Yes I do both KW and Schlage. I am the in house Locksmith for two different Property Managers. So I'm still learning a lot.
Also you could tell them, you need a code cut key to what ever the pin number (bottom pins) are. The pins in the video are called the bottom pin numbers. Also if you look at your key, you may see numbers on it. Those numbers are either a code or bitting so you can cut your own or give to a locksmith
@@pouncerminned863 thank you, yes I did figure it out and it came out... My ranger was stolen and they forced the ignition with channel locks.. it can be started without a key now... I'm thinking a new ignition cylinder and key should fix it up 😊
@@thewhittierlocksmith121 thanks I tried for a while. Do some key pattens just not rake ? Also does it get harder with age, if the lock pins are worn down and slip too freely ?
@@feelvivek yea for sure, use lube like houdini or tri flow- some of these locks are older than i am and there's tons of old grease, gunk and dirt. Ignition may even be bad if it doesn't work. Just try a few different rakes, picks and or jiggler keys
I've just started using the mini key tool, with the wired remote don't you have to put a transponder in it too? Transponders are already on the circuit board of the wireless xhorse remotes.
This was a very cool demonstration. Thank you for this video. Those 3G depth spacers really made quick work of cutting a key. Where do you get them from, they ae a very clever design, cheers
@@thewhittierlocksmith121 I have checked the site and can't find them anywhere, are you able to tell me the shop it was from or the words you use in the search to find them, thanks heaps
