Great Job!! You can do it without removing the tire with a good 90 power ratchet.. one other thing worth noting is that there is actually a white filter at the base of the pump.. it may come out with the pump .. if so you may need to use it in your aftermarket pump.. as well as the 90degree elbow to the rubber water line.
It´s been very good to me, so far. The best car I´ve had, that´s why I still have it. It needs to be maintained, especialy early oil changes. I change oil every 8K km. The biggest job so far was a valve cover gasket, nothing dramatic. I´ve got 200K km on it at the moment.
Today i bought this car. I made an oil change like you. I filled 5.5 liter engine oil and started the car. After checked the oil level and it was very high. i drained 0.5 liter but is still high. I dont understand it.
@@DIYProjectX no i did not measured how much came out. The engine and the oil.was warm and i waited almost half an hour to came out. The oil dipstick seems original. Interesting that in citroen c5 with the same engine needs only 5 literes.
Thats great. Thanks for the tutorial. I have a dead wide bulb i have to change. Also on the same side the main hulb only comes out n after i tive it a bunp on yhe outaide. I hope its just a loose connection.
Hi there im not sure if you still work on ur e60 bmw 530i but im having some problems with my ignition and was wondering if u knew how to fix it, I currently cannot insert my key into my ignition at all, Have u ever had this problem?
Hi there. Do you mean you can't physically insert the fob into the slot? That is weird. Sounds like the key retention mechanism got stuck. Any other object stuck inside? Could be related to steering wheel column locking. But I'm just guessing here...
@@DIYProjectX So i actually dont have a fob, the year of my car seems to be a key with buttons to unlock my door and trunk. Whatever is blocking the ignition physically doesnt allow the key to enter
@@DIYProjectX I can unlock the trunk and all doors no problem but when it comes to the ignition it wont go in, and no unfortunately i dont, Ive been trying to find out if im the only one who has had this issue and if anyone has found a fix for it yet
Hey @DIYProjectX, thanks for a great video. Can you tell me which diagnostic tool do you use to read the transmission oil temperature? I have an OBD adapter with the bimmer link app and this is the only data I cannot get.
Hey there. That's a great question. To be honest, I only have a basic scan tool, which doesn't read the tranny oil temp. So I use infra red thermometer to measure the oil pan temperature. Works well.
Not sure if it is the same for halogen units. Just open the cap at the back of the headlight in the engine compartment to see if you have the same bulb.
I had problems jacking up the Mondeo IV. Now I have a 11 cm u- profile and put this on top of the jack, then I place it under the seam. So the seam will not be damaged.
Awesome video mate, very helpful and spot on. After letting it drain with the cover off for a couple of hours, I was able to initially add about 3.5 litres of oil. Then after running the car and going through the gears a fair bit, I was able to add another 2 litres. So 5.5 litres all up for me.
Great tutorial my friend. A month ago i watched another tutorial and it helped a little bit when i changed the light bulb but it didn’t show the tricks that you used. I spent 40 mins changing the light bulb because it was hard to get it out and even harder to get it back in. It sucks that i first connected the light bulb and then put it in its place that’s why the light bulb was a little bit off when i drove the car. Today i had some time to finally put the light bulb correctly and did it in 10 minutes with the help of your tricks. Thanks again for the tricks and the tutorial
So many thanks for posting this - you saved my NYE! I found the hardest part reseating the unit - being winter I was paranoid I might split the plastic bumper grille but mercifully I didn't (wonder how many new ones Ford have happily supplied!). Also lucky that the failed dip beam bulb was a standard H7 55W for which I had a spare.
The door were shut frozen and there Is no temp gague on this car, buddy. Why can't you simply accept that petrol engine has no problem starting in low temp?
