Some concept of the difference between insulators and conductors would help this welder with completing a circuit. It is dangerous to work with electricity without that understanding. For example: Wood or plywood is an insulator and does not generally conduct electric current (the "problem" he had initially). Good clamping and work holding is also necessary for safety. Enjoy but be careful. P.S.Do not weld while standing in water! Water is generally a conductor and you are at risk standing in it while working with electricity.
You said you watched RU-vid and understand the welding...I don't think you did, I watched the whole video I was scared for your safety, stay away from welding for your safety 😮
Best thing to do is grind the areas you going to weld & where u going to put the ground & have the ground some place else , I’m also learning how to weld , I order the same welder u have , I have bought one of does handheld welder not good, I’m using E7018 3/32 for thicker metal , , Is all about practicing great job
You should have mentioned to check for any leaks before replacing cover's back on. Sometimes the elements might need to be snugged a little. Other than that great video.
I just keep staring at that guitar also but great video now I'm about to handle this job rt now thanks for your knowledge and definitely interested in that lonely guitar
haha thanks, unfortunately if you look close you can see that the shaft is cracked. My uncle took it to "fix it" but I know its probably just sitting in his garage now.
Great video but I instantly noticed the green electric guitar that has been stored next to your water heater and obviously not being used. Would like to offer a new home more suitable and could guarantee it happy life of being played and enjoyed.
You Slag & drag away from where you start. This way you see the pool that you are creating. A little more effort on your part to whole the pieces would be a big help. Your to matter of fact and not enough focusing. Did you have a beer 1st? Lol
I've never welded in my life but after watching your video and laughing over the wood table and not getting an arc, I went and ordered the same Dekopro 160 which should be here in a few days.Hopefully I'll video my first attempt and hope it's half as funny as yours, after all..how hard can it be? My famous last words. Not too many videos make me laugh but this had me howling, even tho I'm sure that wasn't your intention. I'm not picking on you but I think you found your niche. You should do all your upcoming videos in the same style. Make them funny and from the point of a complete noob dufus. I bet you would get plenty of followers, I know I'd watch. There is a woodworker channel that does goofy stuff like you in his videos, he's hysterical and one of my favorites too. Check out Bourbon Moth. Keep pumping out the tongue in cheek videos and you'll be a new sensation.
At least you figured it out bro I would be looking for a better type of wood to use thinking that was the only variable in the equation LOL keep up the good work
This is a great instructional vid. I'm right now, where you were in the beginning. My welder gets here next monday and I needed a reality check before that happens lol.
I saw your comment was 2 years ago and I'm about to buy a Welder I just wanted to know did you keep Welding and get good at it or did you struggle and give up?
