Sensei Joseph Bruno trained with Korean Master Moon in New Britain Connecticut, and with Stalking Wolf's grandson, Tom Brown Jr. He has trained with the cane for decades, and is a member instructor in good standing with the Independent Karate Schools of America, which recognizes his authority to issue rank in Martial Arts. The Independent Karate Schools of America also recognizes Sensei Joseph Bruno as a Martial Arts and Science Educator with all of the rights, privileges, and honors there to appertaining.
Meaningless diatribe and acrobatic handling of a cane does not make for a functional martial system. Yes, the cane has been used historically around the world as a weapon however it has been used in a well tried and tested manner with unsafe and unaffective techniques being abandoned and only useful information without pseudo religious philosophy has been passed down and adapted into other martial systems.

the cane is a sign of weakness, but in that deception alone lies its great strength. use that deception to your advantage. the ancient korean nobleclass knew the power of the cane nd they developed a series of techniques and exercises with the cane.
Its ironic that this man is so good with a cane when you know if he gets within 50 feet of your widowed granny, odds are shes gonna need a wheelchair. All I'm saying is, I bet that cane isn't the only thing he knows how to sling around.

This is dangerous nonsense! Well photographed, good sound, well cut but still dangerous nonsense. The only this is going to get a senior is a beating and a painful death.
@@andrewsampson9065 - you make a good point but you misunderstand me. The reason that this is dangerous nonsense is the fact that it is ineffective. The chap teaching has no power in his strikes and he has no footwork. The reason he has no power is the fact that his strikes are disconnected from his base. Twirling a stick around like a cheerleader on crystal meth is a waste of time and energy. The Shillelagh is a fantastic weapon (as is the cane) but you have to train to get power into the cane and to get your body to the right place at the right time.
