yeah both have their own benefits, shillong though will be more convenient considering its closeness to Guwahati and commuting there is easier than to reach sikkim, locals behaviour wise sikkim has been kind [don't know about shillong, been there way back so can't recall]
depends on many factors like first of all the state or area you're in, here in sikkim so far it's been mostly safe, locals (men specifically) don't scare me unlike when I was studying in Delhi. Here people are chill & just mind their own business, and most are helpful

i don't think so, for the admission the first step was to appear in CUET- PG conducted by NTA, then again apply to your desired colleges through your CUET score, and then go through the merit lists...so even if there are empty seats it'll only be accessible to the ones who are in the waiting lists after already going through all the steps aforementioned
The feelings is real ik,hope you are ok now ,yeah just think about how much memories you are going to make there and don't think you have lost something you are missing out of something ,use technology to get connected (I won't give you same vibe as home ik but still) it's always add up never loss think in that way 🙂😊

the rent is 11k per month (electricity extra but it doesn't cost much), security yes you will need to pay one month security which will be refunded once you move out. i had to pay brokerage fee of 40% of the rent (for one time only) as commission because i found this apartment through a broker. But all others living here mostly found through their own, so they didn't have to pay any broker fee. The views and everything here like the neighborhood is really nice overall
