Do you get the physical pokemon cards that tou pull in the game or do you not if tou pull a real good card can you like say i want this physical pokemon card shipped to me
@jorjlim I'm fine with it. free card is free card. I've landed a few big hitters on it already! the rates seem generous enough. I got full art Erica in a wonder pick 😊
Gonna sound crazy but probably should craft until the next set cuz you're gonna get getting 2 packs no matter what meaning you might get those missing cards
It only took you 3 videos to entirely lose all joy from opening packs, kind of tells you everything you need to know about the diminishing returns of the entire pokemon TCG. Thanks for doing it so we don't have to.
Regarding your closing words. I used to play the physical game of pokemon TCG and quit because it was brutally unsatisfying getting so much junk cards and it happened really quickly and just became bad feels. I have since quit all TCG model games, LCG are the only ones I'll touch.
I was opening packs as I watched this. As soon as you point out that you only have the alternate art nidoking, i pull that same card, so i blame you for that somehow, so thankyou! XD
“It feels more like a collecting game rather than a battle game” that’s like majority of mobile games, personally i don’t think it’s an issue especially that’s how i sell Pokémon go / most popular gacha games are. just don’t play it if you don’t like it and let people enjoy collecting their Pokémons in card form.
As the seals pop off the boosters it seems that sometimes you see a rainbow pop out, I assume that is an indicator that something great is in that pack... guess I'll keep watching to see if that is true :P
The full art cards are sometimes so beautiful... i wish there was a way to make them more readable without ruining the effect. Maybe given it's digital, they could hide the text until you 'examine' it.
Is there really a difference between what pokemon is on the pack you open to get what you need even though its all the same set? Because thats absolutely wild if thats the case.
I find the selection of cards included in the initial release of this game so bizarre. It seems like they have every pokemon from generation 1, but then a random smattering of later gen pokemon. Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to start with only gen 1 and work up the generations with each expansion? Also, would it be feasible for you to build up your free packs for more big pack opening videos like this, or is that not how it works?
@@WadeAllen001 The EX’s help but the alternative art is just cosmetic. I think the issue is such a large percentage of the cards are just unless fodder. Because of how Pokémon works any base evolutions are just useless waiting to be evolved but must still be in the game.
I kid you not, I have now pulled 3 Mewtwo EXs, one of those is the mega art one, and still have zero Gardevoirs....I'm now moving on to the other two packs lol. I'm over it.
Surprisingly difficult to answer. It depends on how fast you do it, because you get 2+ free packs every day. I think I've spent like $350 or so? I honestly don't know because it's in NZD and the conversions are weird to USD, I'd have to comb through my PayPal and stuff. I'll check for another video eventually.
@@regispokebin That's close enough to know I'll probably stick to f2p with maybe buying a pass every few months. Glad we have creators like you to brave the waters first!
This math isn't right. You're not accounting for any bonus hourglasses or gold, which you can get from missions, shop tickets, and leveling up. Not to mention a big burst early from solo missions, which may not be replicated for future sets, we don't know. You get more than 2 packs a day on average as a F2P player.
I'm going into this F2P and I'm not even gonna pretend its a card playing game for a few months. Just gonna collect my dailies and do other stuff while building up my library
Absolutely no shade meant towards anyone that loves this game, but is the gameplay as shallow as it looks from these game highlights? It seems like there's very little room for "skill expression" outside of deck building.
26:50 Physical cards are cool and all, but i rarely find oppertunities in my life to actually play with them. When i have the oppertunity, the experience has left a lot to be desired. I have had more fun collecting and playing on pocket tcg, than i have playing the long winded tcg online, or the hand full of times ive gotten to play in person. This is the collecting and plauing format i dreamed of as a kid, and i cannot wait to start trading
I opened twice as many total packs and have all the crown rares. But I am STILL missing many 2 stars either entitely or to have 2. The diminishing returns are real. I'm also done mass opening packs. 😅
You can tap on any card in the dex(owned or unowned) to see what pack that card is in. It shows the Mewtwo/Charizard/Pikachu pack icon next to their dex number.
