The combination of mid range torque, large rear overhang ,and weight transfer, always made these cars crowd a pleaser even with just a 290, and a consistent low at in its class on top of that. Gotta love those Amx s
Bring your best when messing with a Barton HEMI. The Elephant Man. When they allowed this engine back into SS Ray added 100 HP just with the current tech at that time. Hurt more feelings.
Watch this video..2nd pair of cars. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4LxIUqHyY6A.html&feature=related My car the mustang has what I think is a huge nitrous cloud when I purge. I only was bringing the pressure from 1025-1050 down to 950. I have never had that kind of cloud. What causes it to be like that. Is it weather related?
Hey man I've been watching you for years. Always enjoyed the content. I saw you subscribed not long ago and cant find a way to email you. If you ever find yourself at the D3 race for National Trails come find me. I'll be around the waterbox somewhere.
I had beautiful 68 fastback with 318 back in the mid 80’s. I did the interior and paint and was getting ready to put 340 in it. Then some kid smashed into it..
awesome post...Maple Grove presented first ever Hemi Challenge in 1992, as Ken Montgomery won it in the only SS/B , the famous "555" 4-speed 1965 Plymouth in the event. We (George Case, Maple Grove head honcho and I as event coordinator) paid tow money to help get the Hemi cars there, and of course posted round, runner-up and win $$$. Runner-up was John Freil in his awesome SS/AA Dart. The Long Distance nod went to Don MacCallum in his Barracuda Dart from Vankleek Hill, Ontario, Canada. efore long the event go to popular that in 2000, NHRA officially moved the Hemi Challenge to the U.S. Nationals at Indy.
Hey Rob., why are the LVd videos titled "Dover?" Cool stuff, none the less. I'm from Ct, and like going to LVD, but also like NED. And I also like your channel name. By the way, know anything about UMTR?
@@robzneed4speed Because of your channel name (4 spd), I thought you might be into stick shifting. UMTR is a group outta Ohio, that caters to stick shift cars "only". UMTR..."United Manual Transmission Racers". I wish they were here in New England. I would build another drag car...(B4 I die), just to have that fun again. Can't stand bracket racing or P/Gs. Lookin fwd to Muscle Palooza, even tho they're mostly automatic too.
This is the best racing I've seen on here..lots of small blocks..it's crazy to see a 265 pull the wheels on a 55 wagon. !! The thunderbolt was fast than the hemi but went red
Interesting how the title says stock class elimination....no way these-original and true-muscle cars are factory stock. Or are they pro-street some how?
Believe it or not, these are run within the NHRA guidelines. Of course they are allowed minimal performance upgrades. These guys will spend $40,000 on an engine to gain a tenth of a second.
