Yes, it is fun. I don’t understand what’s fun about racing a car that’s 1 to 2 full seconds faster than you are. They should have the ability to delay the tree for the faster car, that’s what time trials are for (to find your fastest E.T.). You can actually see some of the drivers backpedaling at the end so they don’t run out their fastest time (auto win for the other guy). It is more entertaining to watch a close race, these guys are terrific.
Maybe show the burn out then straight to stage cause a guy might loose according to his burn out but might give away secrets. I always try to say the winner cause of the burn out!!!!
Well Ed, you have to admit, if ya gonna drag race, ya gonna race some 67,68, 69 camaros, and some mustangs. If ya gotta dodge, Plymouth, ya got 440, 413, or fnant(hemi), to race. Good talking to all, but gotta get my Chrysler mini van out and see how fast I can get it up to speed on the interstate hwy.
I'm sorry I do not. This should have been my sixth event of the season, but it was only my first, I don't count 3 hours at Winterport Dragway in Maine as a full event last weekend. It's a 5+ hour drive home and I was spent after two days so I left at 5:00pm. I do have 3 great rounds of qualifying including the Burkhart/Pompnio side by side then front to back almost crash pass from Friday.
I always do. Stock and Super Stock are my favorites first and I get the most views etc. from them. Plus my major sponsors both run Stock and Super Stock so.....lol
