Hey everyone, welcome to my channel! My name is Peter, some call me Pilot Pete, and I'm happy you're here. I am currently flying the Boeing 767 as a First Officer for a legacy cargo company all around the world. I've been an airline pilot for 10+ years now and have flown and am type rated on multiple aircraft; HS-125, EMB-145, DC-9, A-320, B757/B767. Flying is not only my job, but also my passion. I love sharing my journey with aspiring pilots, motivating and educating anyone who is interested in aviation. My hobbies include fitness, playing sports, and exploring the world, so I enjoy sharing all those aspects in my videos.
I appreciate you being here, if there is anything I can do to make the ride along more enjoyable, please let me know in the comments or shoot me a DM on instagram @pilotpete.fly.
Happy belated Birthday! I wanna be a pilot one day and your videos are just so fun to watch and it teaches me so much about the BTS of being a pilot! Sundays is one of my favorite days because that means Pilot Pete posted a new video!
@@pilotpetefly I was not saying that you should work out in the morning, you are really good at working out no matter where you are, if I was being negative I apologize, I was just saying that it can be positive and while it works for me it is not for everyone. I admire your passion both for flying and for staying fit. Do what works best for you.
Hi Pete, love your vlogs. I work as a ramp officer in AMS but I wonder what those two hoses are near the nose gear in MEM at the beginning of this vlog. I recognise the gpu hose, but I don’t t know what the other 2 hoses are, can you please explain, thanks so much and happy birthday…….Ron from AMS
Hey Ron! Most likely you’re talking about the air conditioning cart. MX hooks it up when it’s hot and provides some cool air into the cockpit. Then there are the gpu which you know, and then tether tie downs
I used to fly for a legacy pax carrier. There are pros and cons to every airline and company. I picked the one I’m at bc it fit me the best at the time
@@pilotpetefly I worked as a Package handler and PH Trainer for FDX Ground in the Oakland 946 station, for 2.75 years but I just got my new job at the airport. We had a San Leandro substation that was even smaller than ours which didn’t make sense after much of our freight moved to the newer building in Richmond(which is why I ended up leaving cuz of less freight/hours). It would be cool if they expanded operations at the OAK airport to include the former ground network since they’ve “merged” and have a consolidated footprint, but alas neither of us make those decisions 😅.
Sometimes aircrafts like this recieve a circumstantial incidents which all havent been put into listing of prediction which can be liable to phase the aircraft off
@@pilotpetefly Thank you! I have a few more steps (serum, moisturizer, etc.) in my routine. Is it practical to keep this up when I get to the airlines, or should I just give it up now? Thanks!
Are you sure there aren't security regulations that prevent you from filming at airports like you do outside, under the plane, inside controls and in passenger-restricted areas? I wonder if people are just not noticing you since you fly cargo. I'm sure if a commercial pilot was seen outside his Delta 737 on the ground filming the plane, there would be issues. By the way, i'm in love with you, your body, your life, your everything.... life has indeed been very good to pilot pete. Fly high, bro. One word of advice: Get over NYC already and get out while you still have money to save. First of all NYC is dirty as hell and i'm surprised you're not more sensitive to that. The city is so overrated, so overpriced and won't be where you want to be living in 10 years anyway. If you must be in the NYC metro area, buy yourself a house in New Jersey and stop wasting all that money.
Hub is company HQ and/or where we have most of business in and out of. Base is where pilots/FAs are based and there trip starts/ends there always. I can make PHX, just place custom order!
