Cheap rooms are safe for the locals who knows how things operate. U as a visitor you need reasonably cheap but safe . Try Metro lodge ...prices 350 single sleeper and 500 double . Bayside Hotel is cheap as well from R600 Pavilion Hotel around same price as Bayside. At Durban station you will find Sun1 hotel. 659rands . It's a very safe reasonably cheap hotel. Hotel metro is cheap much cheaper but not conveniently safe to my knowledge and my past experience. Other big hotels like Bluewaters are expensive but could get cheaper depending time. Thanks for that. My point was to answer people who comes to my comment box of my Durban videos asking...( where is whites?) This was my means of saying even down town U will find whites. Downtown known to be dangerous yet still this white old guy strolling and buying around proves there are many other white people in the proximity. Listen, I have been asked this question many times in my longer videos . A question with an obvious answer.
Majority of Jozi street hawkers selling prohibited(used clothes) goods on our streets are not South Africans. It wonders me how come that South African law enforcement has left this kind of illegal practices unattended. Indeed our country is a joke.
