Come on guys. Where is your thinking Mike Hailwood was and is probably the best ever motorcycle GP rider of all times. You have to realize the bikes at that time. Simple construction, except that 6 cylinder Honda 250
Yeah, and every time Mike the Bike went head to head with Ago, the Italian usually came second best. There is no contest. There's Hailwood, a big gap and then there's everybody else.
Valentino won most of his races on a 4 stroke. Kenny jr was in the 500cc class, but he won only 8 races spanning 2 years. This top 10 is based on race wins in the 2 stroke 500cc class. Kenny jr didn’t make the cut…
@stevebigansky9372 Valentino only won 12 500cc races, hence him not being on the list. Although they did leave out Mike Hailwood off the list for some unknown reason. He had 37 wins
Rossi, Rainey, Roberts, Lawson , Spencer, Sheene, Stoner, Doohan, Gardner, Mamola, Schwantz ,I probably missed some ...there are are so many, but i'm going with Rossi as No. 1.
Rossi only got in on the tail end of the 500cc racing in 2000 and 2001 with a title in 2001 so no he wasn't the greatest 500cc rider but he did very well in those two years.
@@tonyfree2691 no it's not accurate and also very subjective but in 500cc formula, Lawson and Rainey achieved much more success. Most of Rossi's victories and titles came after the 500cc era
I owned a H2 and a friend had the GT750. We would switch off on day trips. The GT 750 was a lot heavier and didn’t have the acceleration of my H2 but was very comfortable to ride. Plush suspension and fat seat made for an easy days riding. Felt more planted in the twisty stuff. Guess the steering geometry was more dialed in straight from the factory. The brakes felt more progressive at first application and more powerful when you needed to slow down quickly. Now don’t get me wrong, the GT 750 was quick and would roll down the road with a twist of the wrist, lots of torque down low compared to the H2 but the H2 just had a huge acceleration edge over the GT 750 at higher rpm, it loved to rev. The H2 had a quicker more sporty handling feel than the GT 750 and in a side by side drag race the H2 would pull away and stay away. The H2 was a rocket compared to the GT 750 with the GT 750 being a nicer, friendlier riding and handling motorcycle. Sure wish I still had that green H2, it was a blast to ride.
had 71 H1 scary but fun until some guy came oit of his driveway and run me into a telephone pole and just drove away, funny thing is cops could not find the 1967 pink mustang and old man in the house says he did not know anyone with a pink mustang, like pink mustangs were everywhere in 1975
Maybe someone know the "Dolmette". This motorbike was build for only one "just for fun" race in Germany with 24 chainsaw engines from "Dollmar". Impressive 170HP. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cgmvkog7BA8.html
This posting is wrong they Forgot the Yamaha YZR 500! GP bike that Wayne Rainey won 3. world Championships on it and Eddie Lawson won 4 World Championships TZ. 5000. King Kenny won 3 world Championships on it. How come. You guys showed only the street version RZ 500 Yamaha and the Street version. RG 500. Gamma . But you did not mention the anemic NSR 400. V -3. Street version Honda you only showed the Honda moto GP bike which of course have much more HP the the street version Yamaha and Suzuki. You made big mistakes on this video as the final Version of the Yamaha. YZR 600 was close to. 225 HP and and not more than 345 pounds ????
