Copper zinc disintegrates. Almost always no good. Unless you're lucky it's a waste of time or cleaning them out to get other types of coins/jewelry/ore.
So much very bad advice from these so called experts, 95% of these youtube celebs have little to know knowledge of the machine its all about subs and likes free machines and free gear. There not interested in helping anyone because anyone with experience can see there mistakes in there settings and what they say.. 🙄
@@martinsmith2984 I agree I see a lot of people who give out bad advice. I do not claim to be an expert, I don’t believe I said that anywhere in the video. I don’t monetize my videos, nor do I offer free gear. What I do offer is my free time, to any customer or non-customer who asks for my advice or help, and that is what I did here. I travelled to a customers home to help him out with his machine. I have been detecting 13-years and my boss has been detecting over 20 years. We are master Minelab dealers and we get our information directly from the top Minelab engineers. The head of Minelab engineering specifically told us to not ground balance and leave auto tracking on. I have been very successful with my setup, I don’t use discrimination as you can see I like to use my own discernment and hearing to discriminate my targets. The wonderful thing about sharing knowledge is that every perspective is different and we don’t need to be negative to each other when we have discussions about our subjective experiences and opinions. I love to share what I know from my education and experience in this field. People can take it and try it, compare it to others advice, and make educated decisions about how they want to run their machine from their own experience.
@@Nwdetectors I have been detecting longer than you and your boss put together 41years, had every top end brand on the market, you have know idea what your on about with the Manticore. Hope your better at selling than you are on the machines you sell because if your not you will not have a job for long...
Hi, I'm sorry I was helping a customer at his house, I believe you are correct there were airplanes flying low. I will try to make a better video again soon. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for this video. I have been struggling with the Manticore and this video has helped me understand more of why it does what it does. The part about reading the 2D really helped me understand it better. Thanks again.
In my experience there are none. Minelabs engineers have specifically stated not to manual ground balance in multi-frequency on this machine. I would love to pick their brains more about that statement.
@@Nwdetectors You talk rubbish, ground tracking is a big no no in iron infested areas as the machine will track to the iron and then you miss good targets.. Bad advice is a lot worse than no advice...
Hey, I totally understand what you are getting at and agree with you. I am an extremely slow and careful detectorist, far slower than most I see. However, the audio I'm hearing is far different than what you can hear in the video. I can easily tell the difference between a nail and a coin because the Manticores audio is so rich and subtle. In this video I was helping a customer who had never metal detected before. I was trying to show him how to listen for those subtle differences and use all the tricks to help him avoid digging iron. He is an older gentleman and his body cannot take digging every signal. Also, the wonderful thing about these expensive new machines is they are designed with discrimination features that help us to better differentiate trash targets so we don't have to expend so much energy digging trash and we can get more good targets. If I wanted to dig every signal in the ground because I was afraid of missing something I would just use a pulse detector or a cheaper VLF. I love that the Manticore can help our older clientelle do what they love for longer without having to hurt their bodies. My intention is to help them continue to be able to do that:)
good video but the only way to really learn what a signal or sound is, is to dig everything. Also I like to mention that if you hold down the noise cancel till it settles one number it works better for EMI
Just want to say I used this program set up in a heavy iron old iron works. I have hunted it a few times before. It’s has been heavily hunted over the years. I pulled out 11 coins. No silver or old copper but 6 nice old buckles. I was checking it with the mono. Also checked with tennka , sweeper. I have to say I loved it! Thank you so much!
We know that discrimination makes the model shallower, but when we set discrimination to 0 or negative, and the night to 7 or 10, does the depth still decrease? In other words, in your opinion, does the night decrease the depth?
Dug a merc yesterday afternoon with the sniper coil at 24 inches ,been dirt fishing for 11 years and i didn't really know ya could get that deep 😂 somedays the nox 800 throws me a curve ball lol
Had my new manticore for 3 days , upgraded it and after that had very very poor depth , could not see a silver dime at 4” Or a gold ring at 4” , after many calls to minelab they paid for me to ship it back to them and I should be receiving my new manticore in about 2 weeks , they handled it well , thanks god we have 2” of snow now lol
Thanks! I really like your technical thoughts and tests! I use your Mono confirmation all the time. Interesting with reactivity creating disturbance 🤔, will keep an eye on that and change if necessary! Thanks! Will be looking out for your next video! 🙏🇸🇪🙏
Be aware that non ferrous and ferrous targets close together can drag the VDI numbers down and make them jump about. Training your ears is best practice. In time your remote can go in your pocket. Audio Response on 7 does give you more depth despite what the manual states. Also, on really trashy ground the non ferrous targets still pop through. A lower Audio Response, and the signals will be too faint to hear over the ferrous trash. The ground is still noisy either way. Leave on 7 for any programme you use imho. I've tried and tested it.👍
The Nokta Legend was using the stock 11” coil, while both Minelabs had the larger 15” coils attached. Of course the Minelabs were hitting deeper targets slightly better. We also know nothing about the setting being used on each detector, which can have a major impact on how a machine hits on deeper targets.
