Buying - Selling - Trading Pokemon Cards Since 2009
I have been actively collecting and selling Pokemon Cards on-and-off eBay since 2009! I've decided to create this YT Channel to show-off different re-sale purchases that I pick-up as well as discuss the day-to-day operations of running eBay Business selling Pokemon Cards. And, I'll even toss-in a couple collection videos here-and-there - showing some REALLY COOL Pieces that I have within my Personal Collection!
I know this video is old, but I don’t think I’ve ever come across another collector who prefers shadowless base set over 1st ed like I do. And for the same exact reason, I love how clean the cards look without the 1st ed stamp.
Great video, but the title needs changed! Thermal labels are the way to go, printing on envelopes = wasting time and money. Proven by the mega card sellers with millions of cards in inventory ALL using thermal printer labels.
My thoughts on why are: 1) Speed. Printing on the envelopes takes significantly longer in quantities (and these days even minimum wage is $0.25 per minute). 2) Costs: Thermal printer labels are around 0.02 in bulk. Chances are ink actually costs more. A quick Google search says $0.039-$0.089 in ink costs per sheet of paper, so even envelope size is likely over 0.02. 3) If someone buys over 3 oz of cards, what's going to be your option? Might as well have bought a thermal printer at that point as you save time and money having the thermal printer vs slowly cutting a sheet of paper and taping it on a package.
I feel like once you built up enough inventory, you can just coast and the profit margin would go up drastically. You're net worth increased probably more than 50 grand closer to six figures.
Thanks I think the biggest reason to print directly on a SWE is that it makes them not stand out. When you attach a label on a ESE it’s definitely going to stand out.
Thermal prints endlessly for free never really runs out of ink. Can obtain free sticky labels. Inkjet printers - ink is extremely expensive. how exactly is this a better option?
wow first taking all the cards from all orders combined and then separating the cards for the orders is a really great tip. I have a store with 200,000 cards and I only process 120-150 per hour. I'll try it immediately starting this week.
How come you didn't show how you ship the cards in the envelopes?? Why didn't you show the video of you putting them in the envelopes and how you do it? I say that because there's no way that you're sending 10 cards like that in a eBay standard shipping envelope that would be way too thick I've had them to return them from not even being a quarter of that thick
$7500 for literal cardboard. People like you are the reason why the resale market price is sky high for retro games. Just ignorant people with cash to blow ruining it for everyone else.
Why soo many of them? Especially ones worth $5000? I have a PSA 9 of one of these and I paid $880 like a year ago for it lol.. not sure why your valuing 8’s At $5000 bud? Or I got the luckiest bud of all times on eBay… it was listed as a misprint or anything so maybe people just didn’t see it? Which I guess I got lucky.
Cornering the market and making their collection unique in comparison to others... Most serious base set collectors probably have their copies already. But there's always more trying to reach their goals... And collecting rare variants of base set cards has become increasingly popular. Especially for those that already completed their other base set goals.
So curious out of the 105k is actual profit. I'm guessing in the ballpark of like 13k-15k. After cost of product, fees, shipping etc... Just getting that from 70% of 105k is what's paid for collections. Plus the 10% Ebay fees on it leaves you with 21k profit. Then minus shipping cost/supplies which would probably be around 2k. Leaves you 19k profit. But the pack rips are the unknown here. I doubt you get the 30% profit margins on those to match the bought collections. So take off another 5k or so leaves you with 13k-15k profit. I could be way off here but if I'm close that's still an amazing profit for a single month.
Such a great video! Can’t wait for the next one. Love the eBay lives so much! Such amazing numbers man! Also you’re now in the lead on 2024 RU-vid count vs Jake pokenomics lol 3-2 I believe
