Nice demo and picking, but I just wish you would say what scales you are using as you are doing it. I can't tell if you're using C and G major, or minor, or spicing with 7th, or toggling between those. Some theory behind the solo would have been nice.
@@CountryGuitarChops ok thanks. the amp and your playing sounds great. i have a princeton but i want a deluxe reverb. i played a hotrod deluxe iv the other day and it sounded really good, better than i remembered a hotrod sounding.
@@jhue73 I never cared for the sound of the hotrod, it's too harsh sounding for my ears. But I have heard a couple guys that played them and had a decent tone. They certainly are cheaper than the deluxe reverb! With that said, there's nothing wrong with the tone of the Princeton's either!
@@CountryGuitarChops thats what i use to think about the hotrod it was harsh. never was impressed by it. but the version 4 unless my ears was fooling me that day (which is possible) doesnt sound harsh. it had more low end, less spikey mids and a nice sparkley top. i like my princeton.
Good video man. I use to stomp boxes then I went to multi effects pedals. They were sound suckered so I went back to stomp boxes. Then Boss came out with the GT series multieffects pedal. I suggest trying a GT1 or GT 100. Programing is easier than most others.
The Duncan Broadcaster pu is killer. Had a friend playing his 68 Tele in my shop in the early 90’s. The bridge pu sounded killer. I played his guitar and the pu was perfect. I said wow these old pu’s are magical! He said it’s a Duncan Broadcaster pu, the original pu died! lol I put that pu in a 70 ash Tele and it was amazing. I coupled it with a hot Tele Duncan. The output was what I wanted but the sound was too muted. I removed the cover and it was perfect. If I could have one guitar back that I sold it would be that one.
I do occasionally sit in with this country western band that does this song. I will use my Brian May Red Special guitar on it next time we play it. Because Brian May was definitely crazy about a Mercury 😅
This takes a bit of practice but I keep everything down at the third fret. I drone the lower C note with my thumb, play the start pretty much the same as you but, I don’t slide up. Holding the low C note I have my pinky on the 2nd string 5th fret, ring finger 3rd string 5th fret, slide the pinky quickly to the 6th fret. Lift it quick then gut the 2nd atring 4th fret, 3rd string 5th fret, hammer on with pinky into the 5th fret 2nd string. Something you were doing, just all down at the third fret area.
I've been a guitar player for 40 years, doing country. For a beginner, the double stops might be challenging, but you do this in a way that makes it easy to understand. That's what's key. After that, all it takes is practice. Great lesson!
I have two same bridge pickups in two differend guitars, rosewood and a maple tele. On the maple is more live, you need a less effort to get a sound from them then on a rosewood neck tele. Rosewood its not so sensitive. Neck meterial obviously makes a big difference.
I’m a little lost… don’t tell anyone:-) Are you adding the Gel to your existing animals and then the UV light or do you also have acrylics on and this is to add even more strength.
I use just one or the other. I started using acrylics again about 6 years ago. I needed my nails done quickly one day, so I went to a nail shop and had them done. They do it faster and much nicer than I can, and they use the acrylics, so I've been going that route when I can.
Been workin days on this one. Be days more til i get it all. Be months before i can rip it. But i will rip it. thanks dude. Had to set the needle back many, many, many, uh repeatedly many times. Start my day with this lesson and work on it for hours. Seems ideal for a thumbpick. makin due with a flat pick. Thanks fer a great lesson.
just purchased this lesson, 100% 5 stars nice high quality tabs, breakdowns for all of it. jam tracks with or without vocals lead or whatever. just got it today, i got the main rifff and first two fills down. im starting on the first solo now !!
It's on my website in the free lessons section. I was referring to a compressor. I have a youtube video showing my pedalboard setup that I used at the time. Try searching "country guitar chops pedal board". Thanks.
Hola country guitar, me gustaría aprender country contigo aunque no hablo ingles, pero abra una forma de comunicarme a través de la musica,de que ciudad eres,yo vivo poco tiempo en nueva york
Hi Terry. First of all, when you sign up and join the online members section, you get 24/7 access to view and study ALL the lessons and courses that I've made, so you wouldn't have to buy any of the lessons unless you wanted to. If you prefer to buy the lessons, just go to the dvd store page and select the ones you want. You can see all the full lessons listed there as well. 3 or 4 of these youtube videos (like this one) were intros or solos. Again, you'd have to look at the list of lessons on the store page to see the full lessons. Thanks!
