Yes, I realize this is almost 6 years old, but it's the first time I saw it, so I will comment. Beautiful job. I disagree with some of the comments that the balsa made it too heavy. I have flown RC for over 40 years and until the ARF craze ALL: models were heavy. You did a good job building. But like some said, you do need to check the CG before the maiden. I know from experience. :). I am planning on building a Guillow’s and convert it to electric. The balsa sheeting is a good idea. And yes, you do sound like Johnny Cash.

This looks like a really solid Nitro Plane, as it took off in that grass with no problems at all. Great take offs and flights. Thanks for sharing your maiden flight!
