If training... Don't thing its wise to teach using papering brush up n down.. Side to side so they learn not to stretch matching paper when smoothing out.. Thats the habit to install regardless of what paper..
Excellent. I like the star cut technique and the suggestion to align the edge to the middle of the rose is very handy. I hope it will be as straightforward as you make it look when I come to do it! Wish me luck!
Hi LI P&D and very good video on how to paper with lining paper ,I was always taught if you can do a good job of lining paper with out ribbing it you will be O K when you start hanging pattern paper .All you need to do then is to learn the different pattern drops you have in papering .Regards Chris old school decorator 👍😁
Excellent instructional video...very succinct and to the point...very sure and steady hands...sometimes the best man for the job is a good woman...my hat's off to you...A job well done!
Woodchip wallpaper should be dumped in the nearest tip, the amount of hassle it creates when trying to remove, how about showing how to hang a modern pattered wallpaper around internal external corners.
tried papering a ceiling once ( and got in over my head -lol) I didn't know about the "cruch". Fortunately my neighbor and her daughter were home and came and helped me and I got the job done. ( the paper design was like looking up through tree leaves at blue sky and light clouds )
Great . What if you have 2 ceiling roses . Like a big lounge. And they don't measure up to equally to paper edge . Ie one does the other doesn't. Now what ?
I’m so confused, where i’m from orange peel or splatter texture is only used because it takes too much time to get drywall visibly flat. Didn’t know it even came in a texture
Thank you, this is very helpful and informative! I'm actually just about to start doing the ceiling and I had no clue how to do it properly before watching this video.
Definitely a good tutorial on technique- but I had to check that it wasn’t 1983 - woodchip wallpaper- really? I thought we finally got rid of it all by 1993
I'm sorry but this is so an unprofessional way to wallpaper round a window, you never ever patch in top reveal, you need to splice both ends of window and wrap paper round top reveal that way no patching and still on pattern.
This is a fantastic example of where windows and sills, radiators can throw out your plumb line.. as it's not hanging against the wall. Laser liner will help out students no end.... But let L1 and L2 do it like this and learn.
well done. mouldings + panels Mullion rails.. Top, Mid and lower Top Rail Freize Rail Mid Rail Bottom rail. Stiles & lock stile not forgetting the hinge edge (or latch edge depending which side you are painting)
